07SGT1638
Anyone know who is producing a harness bar for the SN197 Mustangs? I need one with a fire extinguisher mount. You mean a horizontal bar that runs behind the seats that shoulder harness can hook to? I know Autopower makes a removable one for their 4 point roll bar. I bought my extinguisher from safecraft.com and they have some nice mounts that could be easily adapted to a harness bar. I actually used a universal mount from Brey Krause and it mounts behind the passenger seat. (Haven't put the 4 point roll bar in yet!) JeffIsHereToo
Supposedly the Sparco a harness bar, for 95+ mustangs, will fit the 07 mustang. Check out this thread: http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=719812 Also these from Steeda are 4-point roll bars that are a bolt in design and feature a removeable horizontal harness bar. http://www.steeda.com/products/roll_bars.php Good luck! I would not be surprised if Steeda sources their roll bars/cages from Autopower Todd 07SGT1638
JeffIsHereToo
Talked to a friend of mine that races his 06 and he said that it's a REALLY bad idea to install at harness bar without a cage. In fact some tracks will not allow it. He said it's basically a death trap in a rollover as you are trapped in the seat straight up and unable to move. He recommended a custom cage, $$$$$, or one of the cages that allows for a bar to be installed with it.
