zcp789 Posted March 17, 2008 Report Share Posted March 17, 2008 I have an '08 GT500. Do you all use / recommend the Ford recommendation of 5W-50? I have found that only Castrol Syntec and Motorcraft make that grade. And it's kinda hard to find. Was wondering if anyone was using 5W-40 or 30 instead, or if 5W-50 was a must. ingram4868 Posted March 17, 2008 Report Share Posted March 17, 2008 I'd stick to the 5W-50 (Ford or Castrol). The 5W will help to circulate quickly which is a plus even in warm weather. If I still have my Car by the time it needs it again, I have been thinking about trying the "AMSOIL" Synthetic that is good for 11K Miles (I'm lazy). David.
