As per your request Bryan :)

While your granting request Paul, I would like to make 1.........of 3

Everyone that hasn't gotten their Shelby GT500 yet, gets treated like a loyal customer from any Ford Stealership they go to & get it for MSRP or less. Oh, yeah, one more thing, the trunk is filled with your favorite Beverage of choice for being treated like crap from so many other dealers when you stopped by or called them about the car.

Okay. Let's see how much interest we have for a 3 day weekend meet.

Fontana Village Resort in TN is a very popular venue for car club meets/shows.

They're close to The Tail of the Dragon - an 11 mile stretch of two-lane that has about 311 turns! :shift:

The resort hosts Mini-Coopers - Nissan Z's - bikers - and many other genres of clubs.

Check out the site: http://www.fontanavillage.com/

How about we try for a May 2007 Mustang meet? May 27-8-9th?

All Mustangs would be welcome.

Perhaps the 1st Annual Mustang Round-Up?

If there's enough interest, I'll contact the resort and get a dialog moving.

It's a great place for the whole family.

And the Tail will provide plenty of fellowship conversation!

By May of next year, we should have a lot of Shelby/Mustang GT owners eager to show off their rides.

If we have enough interest, we can hold a Mustang show.

Let's ride, y'all. :shift:

Sounds like a fun Motor home trip. Count me in as long as it does not conflict with Texas NASCAR race.

Cool. Would you trailer the Shelby behind the Motorcoach?

The race shouldn't conflict. This year, they ran Texas first week in April.

Here's a link for The Tail of the Dragon! :shift:

Better brush up on your heal and toeing! :hysterical:

I must have missed it... did you pick a target weekend Bryan?

The last weekend in May. The resort can hold about 250 of us. There are other places nearby - but it's nice having all of us at one location so we can cluster up and socialize. Most folks get Memorial Day off so they can travel home and not miss work on Monday.

I have a carhauler and would tow it with the coach. We try to take a trip once a month or so even if it's not 50 miles away. At 7 MPG and $3.00 a gallon it can get expensive. The 400 HP Cummins is a very hungry animal. Got to have a plan for a hail storm though.... I saw some talk about foam rubber and a cover. Not a bad plan.

She fell asleep!

That's the way to travel! I'm sure you can find a hail protective cover between now and then. :shift:

The country around Fontana Dam is spectacular.

The Inn is family operated and they're good people.

Whoever comes will have a great time. As long as we can keep the Shelby's out of the trees! :hysterical:

yes - and no - and I have no comment!

But - I'm bringing my infamous bar-b-que sauce to the gathering - along with some NC ribs! :bandance:

Now - who wants to bring the salsa? Or, some chili?

I make a wicked beer-can chicken with home made sauce.

Only thing I can cook actually...

Mike.

Back in the '80's I was living in CT (Norwalk).

I drove 3 of my buddies down to the Sept race at Dover Deleware.

Since I was driving home (5 hours) after the race, they all drank plenty of beer.

So - on the Jersey pike - they start a fart contest.

Everytime they set off a round - I'd lower the windows and freeze 'em until they screamed.

Now and then - we wouldn't hear one - but the gas would overwhelm us and the perp would start laughing!

Good times. :hysterical:
