09GT500
Is anyone here considering purchasing one? I myself am waiting until they come down in price. I've found most sites asking 6K for the intercooled version. Claimed HP output at 10 psi is better than a GT500. 8 psi is almost equal to what FordGeek posted when he dyno'd his Shelby. I figure this will at least tide me over until '09 when my '05 will be paid off.

I've heard Whipple is in hot water financially speaking and is on the brink of going under. Or just look at http://www.kennebell.net/superchargers/for.../gt05-06_3v.htm ...it's better anyway. Anyone here got a KB supercharger? I have looked at their twin screw design a while back. I think I'm more of a Ford product kind of guy, but the KB is cheaper. They claim the same output, so I guess they are fairly equal when it comes to power. I've also read a few articles and belt slippage on the KB came up. When Ford tested theirs on the yellow show car, they claimed over 100 passes on a dyno without a hitch. Either way, I'm still a few months out from doing anything, so I'll continue to research and solicit the board's opinions. Thanks. cool clip if you haven't seen it. http://www.fordracingparts.com/announcements/news27.asp

BlueOval
KB > * KB or Saleen appear to make the most power. I believe they both use the same Lysholm rotor technology. I wouldn't get too in love with FRPP unless you're getting a warranty. Check out the forums at modularfords.com. Tons of info over there. I'm getting an '07 GT and right now I'm going to put the Saleen VI twin screw on it - but... by the time the car gets here, I may put a turbo charger on from Powerhouse411.com. The fastest cars I've ever seen always have turbos on them. More power at less boost. I've done the blower thing on my truck (and it's been real fun ) so that may push me to a turbo, too. It appears to me that most are able to make 430RWHP safely. Some are pushing more. I'm targeting 440RWHP - gotta be able to smoke the Shelby's when I see them Good thing about a KB or Saleen install is that many, many people have done it already so you get the benefit of their knowledge. Oh, ALWAYS get an intercooler. It's worth the $$$.
flattusmaximus78
Definently allways intercool. A friend of mine on modded mustangs has an 06 gt with a kb pushing 472 rearwheel horsepower. IT works fine but he needs to shift quite below the redline, because at those numbers the block wont hold up for ever if you ride the redline.
