Hey Dealer type guys- is Vapor with black stripes no longer available?

I was on Fordvehicles.com, and noticed some color combos they say are available for the GT500 have apparently changed from when I ordered my Vapor/Black stripe coupe. Vapor now shows to be available with a couple of other stripe colors, but not black. I also see that on several colors, vapor is now listed as a stripe color option. What gives?

Looks like there is Vista Blue with Vapor now! :happy feet: Gotta call my dealer to see if he can order that. Wanted last year's Vista Blue / Tungsten Grey but wasn't offered for 2008. Tried to deal for silver stripes but no dice. Wonder what the Vapor will look like in real life compared to the Flash app.

Because Ford messed up. It happens. OR, they are planning to make some changes and haven't made them official yet.

 

They did just update the order guide for mustang, but the GT500 order guide is still the one from Oct. So they might be planning to offer that soon, or they just messed up on the color offerings on the web site.

That'd be great if they changed things up. Especially cause Ebony with Alloy stripes doesn't appear to be an option in the new colors. Guess time will tell.

Two of us with the same color combo. Subtle is a nice way of putting it, especially when someone pulls up next to you and trys to read your GT500 rockers.

 

What's interesting is how the stripes reflect in the sun light.

They really come to life when it hits just right.

It took me awhile getting use to but I do like the combo.

This should also increase the value due to the rareity of said selection.

I was gonna say DAMN !!! I ordered my '08 Vista Blue/White back in September and i wanted Tungsten or Vapor stripes and wasn't able to get it.

Ford drove me nuts with their website last year(and I think it is still the same). you can build a california special and if you chose Dove interior, it showed SOLID dove seats(instead of charcoal with dove inserts which is reality) I literally lost business over this!

Does anyone know if Ford has made these changes to the Order Guide, or if it is a mistake on the website. Talked to my dealer and he said its not in the order guide, but at one time did say he saw it as an option. October 1st is the last order guide I have (does not have the red stripe package) - is there an updated one available? Looking to get this change into my order if its available as soon as I can before the window closes.
