So I am cutting up a few hundred pounds of meat up for jerky and BANG! in my head pops up GT Jerky. I was wondering if anyone has thoughts about flavor. I think that I am gonna use my reg recipe but make it sweeter and hotter. Maple smoke for this and about 2 days in the brine. Any other jerky fans in here? Give me some suggestions.

Is jerky healthful?

Jerky is not something I would normally eat. But if you make some Shelby GT Jerky I will buy some!

Put dried Chipotle with a few serrano peppers through a food processor until it's a powder, mix in sea salt, black pepper, Louisiana hot sauce, brown sugar, Zigenbach and mesquite flavored liquid smoke.

I got an idea use some habanero thats the only way u can make it as hot as our Shelby's!!!!!!!!! :D

I do use Habanero in all my jerky. I import it right from Belize. What I have going in the smokehouse right now is my regular recipe. I took 20 pounds out(green weight) and added more sugar and more habanero. Just like our cars Sweet and Hot! I am not sure if how sweet it will be but I am hoping for just a little not like candy. I also cut this a little thicker and made bigger pieces than I normally do. I will reply back as soon as I get some out of the smokehouse in about 8 hours. I hope it turns out as good as I think it will.
