So what did you do this Summer!

Hey Gang, Its been awhile since I last posted anything. I hope you all had a good Summer and drove the hell out of your Shelbys. Myself, I attended a few local car shows and lots of gatherings and crusies and drove the hell out of my Mustang as well. Even though the Wisconsin weather is very warm for October, I know ol man Winter will rear his ugly head soon enough and I will have to put the Shelby away until Spring 2008. :(

I guess what I'll do during the "hibernation period" is to go thru the car and reinspect all the modifications I did to it and make sure all is good shape and perhaps add a few more mods to it in the process. Like I said, I been traveling all over in the Mustang and have recevied many compliments from all walks of life (even Corvette owners) I, Like most of you guys, Im sure you have taken a s--t load of pics of your cars during the past months enough to fill up half of a hard drive. The Yahoo Group is still available for your pics as well as your comments. I found another outlet to showcase my Mustang and that site is called FLICKr.com

Its a public photo website that allows all kinds of pics under various subject matter. For those who are skiddish about the content on such public sites, there is an adult filter that work extremly well. So no worries if you got little ones around. I posted a few pics under MY SHELBY CS8/GT. The great thing I like about this site is that, 1. It's free. 2. You can post a truckload of high res pics. 3. There is a bunch of real bitchin Mustang pictures! Anyways I have added some enhancements to the car, both performance and apearence.

Steeda underdrive pulley, replaced the cloth interior and purchased a complete set of leather seats front and back, ordered Shelby headrest covers with the snake & logo, to include the armrest cover.(It really makes the interior look really, really cool.) I purchased another 20 inch wheel with the 20x35x255 Pirelli for a spare in case I get a flat out on the road(The doughnut tire is about big as the 14 inch rotors.) Also I upgraded the stereo to an Shaker 1000( compliments of ebay, I won a complete system for 500 bucks!)

I haven't dyno'd the car yet, but the fastest I got her was a week ago on I-55 from St. Louis going Northbound at a 130+ and let me tell you, that fiberglass hood was shaking like crazy thankgoodness for those hood pins! (Mine aren't rusted.... yet.) ;) I know it can go faster, cuase I haven't hit the cut-off point.

Also, there is the State Trooper factor that I have to take into consideration or otherwise I would really go balls out Cannonball style. :D Geez, this is starting to look like a cheap novel so I beter quit while Im ahead.

P.S. It sure feels good when folks from crotch rockets to 18 wheelers drive along and smile and give a big thumbs up! Ahhhh it was all worth it~!! See ya guys later. FB

LOL Welcome back bud.

The forums here have been pretty quiet. Didn't do much down here in So. Florida Mustang wise except do the 3rd annual 9/11 Tribute run that out local club here runs. This year there were somewhere around 200 Mustangs all in a single line parade from Davie Florida down to Ilse Morada (sp?) in the Keys. Had FHP escort all the way down and they even blocked off exits and side roads to ensure the convoy stayed together. Was awesome to see.

Finally got my paintwork fixed and snapped a few new shots over the weekend. Wheels and stripes to finish it off are coming soon, probably after the holidays.

This is my favorite. One of the local guys down here that does a lot of photos snapped it.

Is this grill for sale someplace?

You can buy it from Shelby Performance Parts. Outside of the CS6/8 package, the grille is listed at $160 in the Shelby catalogue. The "grille kit" which includes lights, letters, etc. is listed at $440. The whole lower portion is listed at $500.

GP,

Looks great! Are you doing anything to the rear of the car?

Cheers,

Kevin

Thanks CS. I already have, it has a GT500 fascia back there. I may switch out the the spoiler to a GT500 or some similar in the future. If you where referring to the suspension it already has Steed Sport springs on there but nothing else.

I'm not done yet. Going to have some visual changes to it in the next couple of months (after the Holidays) but I did go back down to the spot I took those photos for some night shots.

Those where all taken with my camera but we did have a professional photographer there as well doing shots. There where about 20 of us there with Fox bodies, New Edges, and S197's.
