blksnake
I would be interested to know the miles on the odometers as every one takes delivery. Just away of keeping track of how much driving they do with our cars before we get them. Please post your mileage on this thread. I have the same colors. Mine had 11 miles on the odometer. msdcobra
ColdwaterHotrod
B)--> QUOTE(Five Oh B @ Aug 5 2006, 03:43 PM) 32878[/snapback] Our first GT500 arrived last week. I was there when it was backed off the convoy truck and had a camera handy. Odometer read 45 miles and there was NO sticker from the factory indicating a quality control test drive so where the heck did the extra miles happen? The railroad? The convoy company? Ford executive? Our GT500 looked really dirty in the pics above as it had just been unloaded from the convoy truck, so here's what it looks like cleaned up. It is Torch Red with the Satin Silver stripes (not white like everyone else), and it has the charcoal/crimson interior. The customer picked it up yesterday and had the biggest smile you could imagine on his face! Even his wife was mighty giddy about it! Will you be inquiring about the high miles with Ford/SVT so this doesn't happen again?
Five Oh B
Will you be inquiring about the high miles with Ford/SVT so this doesn't happen again? Probably not. Customer didn't care, didn't even mention it. There were no signs of trouble or abuse. Car was a very early build (June 12th) that didn't arrive here until July 31st, so 6 weeks of storing it, moving it, juggling it, etc. at the factory likely has a lot to do with it. I would have really liked to have seen some sort of documentation for the miles from Ford, but who to contact? And, it's not like Ford is really going to crack down on every person who comes in contact with future cars between the factory and dealership to make any meaningful changes. Are you going to have them painted on?
whuml
No over the top stripes. Well, I am 60 years young and a CPA. This is my company car, daily driver. Just conservative I guess. People really do not notice it without the stripe. Thats fine with me I know what I have. Very Satisfied

Hello, mine showed up at the dealer Thursday 8/3/06 with 10.7 miles, build date was 6/27/06. Window sticker attached. I am out of town on business and returning home tomorrow, first stop is the dealership where my Shelby is. You should have gotten the extra millage sticker, I will send you a picture tomorrow of my Red & White Shelby and a picture I took of Shelby 000021's extra milage sticker. Oh, I heard red and white shelbys are a little quicker than the rest.

Someone was out joy riding in your new Shelby. Unless they can provide you with written documented that there was additional testing done in Detroit before shipping. I believe they screwed you, & I would write a letter to Ford about this. I'd be very angry.
