pagerart
I just took a large nail into the tread of my front right tire. I took it to a tire shop to have the hole fixed and they checked all the tires for proper pressure. They said the tires had 35 psi. This is how they came from the dealer or factory. I said the side of the door recommended 32 psi and to try this. Prior to this change I had noticed the rear of the car seemed a little light in hard cornering. I think with the lower pressure the tires are grabbing better. I am always looking for a good turn to push the car, but with So Cal traffic there are only a few opportunities. Has anyone played with the tire pressure to get the best handling?
ShelbyGT/SC
I think I remember reading that someone put in 34 PSI with good success.
sexybackshelby
Temperature will effect pressure by a couple of pounds. Thats why drag racers have covers on the side of there tires.
