lesiak24
Hi everyone, ( New to forum ) I was seriously thinking about purchasing an 05' or 06' Mustang V6. I've owned two Mustangs previously - both were 5.0 liter, with around 200 HP each, so for the money and similar power, why not . I really like the new retro body style. While searching for aftermarket upgrades for the V6 mustang, I stumbled upon the Shelby website. My question is, approximately, what would be the cost be for paint and labor to install the entire CS6 package?

lesiak24
http://shelbyautos.com/ShowDetail.asp?id=25 shelbyautos.com provides a package price, minus paint and labor. I was curious as to how much it approximately costs to have the car painted and upgrades installed.
GPStang06_merged
Depends what package you are looking at. I have a GT and only purchased the exterior parts also known as the apperance package. Pricing from Shelby I estimate for what I did: Parts: Hood: $750 Front Fascia: $500 Side Scoops: $185 Shelby Upper Grill: $160 Driving lights: $195 Rear Fascia (I didn't need, it's a GT rear): $350 Hood Pins: $65. Shelby Razor Wheels (est. for 4 depending on where they are bought) $1100 Total in parts for appearance only: $3305 Paintwork and installation of body parts: Depends on shop doing the work as you can shop around but I would plan on around $1700 on average. Personally I would not shop exclusively on price here, go for quality first from a reputable shop and pay a little more if need be. Make sure it is going to get done right. Average total for an appearence package on a V6: $5005 give or take a few hundred. I have no clue what it would cost for the rest of the items (Supercharger, Exhuast, brakes, etc. etc.) Also what else is not included in the estimation are tires for the wheels and the stripe kit. I have not seen the CS6 Stripe kit on sale yet as a seperate item. Hope this helps. Gary

Paleoc
Probably the best answer to that would be from Paleoc. He is in the process of having his car assembled and painted so he can probably give you a reasonably accurate answer. This is not a straight forward answer as there are a lot of variables. First off it depends on how much you having done. I.e., a full stage-3 car involves a lot more work than a stage-1. For example, installing the supercharger is a 24+ step process so you are probably looking at 20+ hrs labor right there. On top of that labor costs are not uniform across the country, my car is being built in Nebraska where the labor costs are less than a 1/3 of having the work done locally. Lastly, I have had a lot of non-Shelby parts (particularly suspension and drivetrain parts) added above and beyond the CS6 kit. That said, so far I have sent them $5k but I suspect the final cost may entail an additional $2k-$3k or so beyond that. I honestly don't know the final cost. Here is a breakdown of everything being installed so you can see I have a long list well beyond the Shelby items (which maybe only account for 1/3 of the items): This is what has been installed so far: Front and rear Adjustable Eibach Sway bars Powerhouse Aluminum driveshaft and loop (not included in CS6 package) Kevlar/metallic clutch (not included in CS6 package) Shelby Eibach Shocks Shelby Eibach struts Shelby Eibach Springs SOS gauge pillar (not included in CS6 package) Autometer Boost gauge (not included in CS6 package) Low band air/fuel mixture gauge (not included in CS6 package) Shelby anti-theft kit (not included in CS6 package) Steeda Billet lower control arms (not included in CS6 package) MMR 70mm Throttle body (not included in CS6 package) MMR Throttle body spacer (not included in CS6 package) JBA Shorty Headers (titanium ceramic) (not included in CS6 package) JBA Plug wires (not included in CS6 package) JBA dual exhaust Shelby Razor Wheels (20x9) (x5 extra for spare) BF Goodrich G-Force TA KDW NT tires 255/35ZR20 (x5 extra for spare) AR103 Autolite spark plugs (not included in CS6 package) Vista Blue Midwest Auto Plenum cover (not included in CS6 package) Car Cover (not included in CS6 package) 8.8" rear end (3.55) Shelby Car Care Kit (not included in CS6 package) CS6 Hood Front Fascia Upper Front grill GT Rear Fascia Wing Spoiler (not included in CS6 package) BMR Adjustable upper control arm (not included in CS6 package) BMR Adjustable panhard rod (not included in CS6 package) BMR Panhard rod relocation bracket (not included in CS6 package) PIAA lights Shelby letter kit (front and rear) Present at builder but not installed yet: 2004 Cobra insignias (not included in CS6 package) Raptor Shift light (not included in CS6 package) shorty antenna (not included in CS6 package) Billet Pedal covers (not included in CS6 package) Oil cooler (not included in CS6 package) Cobra tire valve caps (not included in CS6 package) Side scoops Plenum Cover Cobra Emblem (not included in CS6 package) Steeda Lower control arm relocation brackets (not included in CS6 package) Radiator cover SOS cupholder bezel (not included in CS6 package) Hood pins Enroute to builder: Cobra faux gas cap (not included in CS6 package) Not arrived yet: Paxton-Shelby Novi-1200 supercharger Hurst Shifter (not included in CS6 package) Shelby Stripe Kit Baer Shelby Brakes Brake duct kit (not included in CS6 package) Lower front grill Strut tower brace (not included in CS6 package)
