A good idea to place multiple Shelby GT orders with different dealers?

I've read in numerous posts the suggestion that, in order to get the best shot at actually receiving a Shelby GT, you should place an order with multiple dealers, in the hopes that one of them will actually come thru and be able to deliver the car to you .

 

But, in order to place each order, the dealer requires a deposit. If you place orders with different dealers, each one with a deposit, and one of the dealers actually comes thru, aren't you in danger of forfeiting your deposit from the other dealers? Does anybody have any comments as to what the expected policy is of most dealers in this regard? Just looking for others' thoughts on this, thanks....
