500 Shaker or 1000 shaker?

The Shaker 500 has 240 watts RMS (average output) with 480 watts peak.

The Shaker 1000 adds two subwoofers and two sub amps in the trunk in a specially made enclosure that takes up 25% of the trunk space. It has 580 watts RMS and 1160 watts peak.

Both systems sound a bit flat in the mid-range, but the 1000 has good bass.

I plan on changing the speakers on the 1000 I ordered, and leaving the rest alone.

Seems to me that the extra $1295 equates to a poor (sound) investment!

I have the 1000 in mine but I never turn on the radio hardly. The sound of the roush exhaust is music to my ears

I don't want to rain on your parade but I think Ford is going to drop the 1000 system. I just recently(in the last week)saw something in print stating such.
