SGT2666
Whats really involved in fixing speedo error? My dealer wants an hour to make the change and I'm thinking its just a parameter in the computer that should take a few minutes. Am I wrong? You are right it takes about 5 minutes, I can do it myself with my SCT tuner, I had to do it when I changed my rims and tires
JeffIsHereToo
You're no doubt right but they probably bill a min of 1hr or it's not worth the trouble. While it may take 5 min, they have to get the car in, set-up, do it, check/test it, etc. Then again it could take longer or something coudl go wrong so as in any business they bill with some margin in there. While you could do it if you don't already have the tools they will cost you a lot more than 1 hour labor.
