jaydub Mach1
Does anyone know how 2007 High Performance White differs from the 1960's Wimbledon White? Are they really close or not even close? Thanks
RogerS
Not close at all. Just my opinion. The 60's Wilmbledon White had a creamy tint vs. the more pure Performance White today.

ShowCar
The whites are different but if you get 40 years of oxidation off the old white it wont look so creamy white.
SGT/SC#0471
I have two whites on my sgt between the fascias and the body anybody else notice this? ShowCar
Different materials take paint differently.Check out a Mystic cobra and you will see what I mean.Mystic is the most obvious on different panels.I believe the bumpers are urathane? SGT/SC#0471
Interesting thanks, I actually think it gives the car less of a robotic feel, I also have a paint drip on the edge of my trunk lid which is cool by me...
07SHELBY GT
Wimbledon white is a completely different shade.Performance white is more like a pure white where Wimbledon is more milky. As far as the color difference,I have had many new hot rods with urethane facias,The color always looks different on the facias,My 05 silver GTO was the worst,It stood out like a sore thumb! The Shelby GT facias match pretty darn good in comparison! 07SGT0086
See link below to an Motor Trend e-magazine article from earlier this year that has pictures of an HP White '07 Shelby GT (front facia paint indicates its a "P" Prototype Car) along with a '66 GT350 in white w/blue stripes. Assuming the '66 is original (from memory it is) then the pics really show the difference between the current HP White and the '60's vintage Wimbledon White. http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupe/..._ford_shelby_gt And even though they are separated by approx 40-years, seeing pictures of these two cars side-by-side and at other angles really impressed me on how good of a job SAI did on the new generation cars to capture the essence and styling of the original cars... kudos to SAI and thanks again for making the Shelby GTs. Sharp GT500
This is my Wimbledon white 67 next to my 2007 Shelby GT. I hope the picture is good enough to show you the difference.

The performance white definitely has a bit of blue in it, the wimbleton looks like it has a bit of yellow. Cool white/Warm white
SGT/SC#0471
Super cool when seen side by side! I am glad about the fascia colors being off on other cars as well. That what I was figuring, thanks! Not much experience with modern cars where I even looked at the paint to notice...... Alls great!
