Little help please. What can we do in Las Vegas.

Vegas isn't all about glitz and bright lights. If you have some time for "day trips" it's a wonderful anchor point to some really wonderful things to see.

Go to see the Hoover Dam. I think they started the "underground tours" again, worth the extra money.

The Grand Canyon north rim is a day trip. (You can't really see it until you've spent 21 days at the bottom - 5 times my self, 2 more coming up before I throw in the towel). The Hualapai overlook is another day trip. The South Rim (what you see in most pictures) is an overnight trip to see almost anything.

Take a day trip down to Havasu, AZ. The really original London Bridge is there, and the drive down from Vegas is awesome.

Zion National Park is in southern Utah - 4-5 hours aw ay, but this would be an overnight trip, stay in St. George or Beaver - go now or you have to take the bus to see it.

Enjoy!

It is on the list, I here, (like you said) it is good place to visit. One week so little time, what are we gonna do? I'll tell ya what, were gonna have fun do what I do best - shoot from the hip and do all that we can do, see all that we can see and have as much fun as we can have.

Please keep the suggestion coming, one never know what will happen what opportunities will or will not present themselves. Or who elese will read this and benefit from your suggestion.

The more the better and if worse comes to worse, who know some weekend the wife and I may go for a short drive and wind up back in LV checking out some of the things we didn't get to see.

Thanks to all.

Option A:

Take a helicopter ride from the Vegas airport to the Grand Canyon and over Hoover Dam. Its a lot of fun.

Option B:

Leave the wife at home, take a buddy, and go to Scores, The Palms (Playboy Club), Golf (Cascata, Badlands, etc.) and do "Toys for Boys" (Helicopters and Hummers in the desert)...thats what I did last SEMA show! Had a total blast!

OPTION B YAAhooo Im there. In Az a bunch of dysfunctional malcontented misfits would get together head out to into the desert dragging items they find along the way.

One person would stash some C4 or dynamite in said abonden car or appliance.

Everyone would stand in a roll at a resonable distance from said objects, and take turn firing away at said object till one person hit the sweet spot and caused the big banag.

No not crazy fool, it was a university resurch program to better understand the "big bang theory" :hysterical2:

Az is much better then ca I liked it better, but I'm not a desert person, Im more a mountain type guy, trees growth greenery. Prolonged stay in the desert ? I'm not a full sun type guy, I wear hat, long sleves pants and shirts in summer because the sun beat the chit out of me. But I do miss the freedom and wild fun days we had in Az. ca seem like your living in cuba or behind the Iron curtin compaired to az.

Don't get me started. I'm better hop into my GT and go for a ride.

Sometimes you want to do something special to say to your wife, "Thank-you for letting me buy a Shelby and thank-you for letting me get the SS upgrade." or sometimes you want to do something special just to do something special if you know what I mean. I see you guys who have been married for some time shaking your head up and down.

Last May right before my wife and I left for Vegas I got a call that my '07 GT500 came in. I was not able to pick it up until I got back but while in Vegas I wanted to do something special for my wife, this is what I did:

I made reservations for dinner at the Tableau restaurant and for VIP seats for Le Reve at the Wynn Casino. We arrived at dinner a bit early so we sat at the bar and ordered drinks. My wife likes chocolate espresso martinis so I asked the bartender if he knew how to make them. He said he knew how to make espresso martinis, chocolate sounded like a great idea, give him a chance and he would make it. He ground up Godiva chocolate, dipped the rim of the glass in it and finished by putting chocolate shavings in the drink. It was the most incredible martini she had and she still talks about it today. Dinner was even more incredible with excellent service and the most delicious presentations and taste. One of the most memorable dinner experiences we had.

VIP seats at Le Reve are the best seats in the house. When you sit down you think they got something wrong because you are sitting in the last row on top but when the show starts you understand because many parts of the show starts in the dome ceiling and drops down. The seats are like livingroom chairs. There is a little table between you and your wife. On the table is chocolate covered strawberries, champagne glasses and a bottle of fine champagne in an ice bucket. A waitress comes over to open the bottle of champagne and keeps the glass full throughout the show. When the show starts there is a monitor mounted in the wall in front of your feet that shows the behind the scenes support needed to put the show on. The show was breathtaking and beautiful and one of the most memorable evenings we had together and we have been married for 33 years.

Don't ask what it cost. Did you really care what the SS cost? Just like the SS it will be worth every penny...that evening was worth every penny and she still remembers today.
