I have to announce that my car was born on 10/24/07. :party2: :banana piano: :happy feet: :happy feet:

I have a produced date but dont have a Gate Release Date yet.

I'm guessing it has to go get Striping done on her before I'll see

a gate release date?

Does anyone know once I see a Gate Release Date, should I then

be able to have the dealership get me a Rail Car # to track her

trip to the dealership?

I Guess now the SERIOUS PSDS BEGINS :hysterical2:

Great news Big.

Now, do you clean up oil slicks? :hysterical:

As for gate release date, it depends. The answer used to be "yes", but given that they've moved much or all of the striping in house, I'm not sure. Maybe someone else knows this. :waiting:

Yes, once the gate release, it may take a couple days for your dealer to see the rail car number if it sits in Autoport. My dealer had no idea how to look for a rail car number...but mine came on a transporter/hauler anyway...no rail car involved so the birdie did not see mine. :hysterical:

I don't want to take away from you'alls excitement but I too had my car produced this week. I called the customer

service 800 number and they were not able to tell me when it was born but did tell me it left the plant. Said it will

be at the dealer as early as 11/4 and not later than 11/11. I've got some sleepless nights ahead of me now. It's

the reality of the whole thing that is setting in. I too am woried about staling out as I ease out on the clutch

as I pull away from the dealer. Well, it won't be the first time. Good luck everyone with your new cars. I'm happy

for all that go through this process. It's a binding experience.

FYI:Black coupe with no overhead stripe.

Congrats to Shelbyfan and Senior... My estimate they said was 11/16. That seems like a LONG TIME.. That is like NEXT YEAR

IN MY MIND . :hysterical2:

And Nope dont do oil Slicks LOL

And Yes I have the Check Book Ready. Everything is in place. Found a pretty good deal on Insurance.

Your Right Senior... Might stall it out the first time.. I figure one of two things will happen. I will either stall it out the first time or

burn rubber through first gear !! Totally by accident of course :hysterical:

A clutch dump at 2500rpm will avoid any embarrassment........ :hysterical2::hysterical2:

'Slick, If I have enough warning, I could give you a lift from the airport to the dealership in mine

LOL, I have driven stick for years but who cares if anyone does, I would rather be the guy owning and stalling the Shelby with a big fat smile than the guy grinning at the stall and driving home in the escort :)

That would be fantastic... I can give you as much warning as I get on when the car makes it to the dealership :happy feet: If I get a railcar number and get a good idea of what day it will be there then maybe ill have more time to warn you.

If it shows up first thing in the morning one day, Ill be running to the airport to get on the first flight I can :superhero: , If it shows up in the afternoon and im already at work, then It will be first thing in the morning that Ill be flying up. :happy feet: :happy feet:

Here is something interesting.. the VOPC told me that the car was produced on 10/24 but on the blueoval forum, they have the produced date as 10/25. They just updated my request last night.

So now i have mixed information on what date she was built on.

Stangfan looks like my car may not have been completed on the same day as yours after all. :banghead:
