Mine was the 6200 Shelby built-so they really cranked them out the past 3 months! I spoke with Jeff Mileage on trip to Tasca was 21.7 MPG and the car now has 7500 miles. 7500 miles of fun! Yes, they really crank them out in the last 3 months which is why there was more showing up then the average number was all year long. Some dealers JUST got their 07 delivered! I was under the impression that we would find out our car built # out of the total (coupe + vert) of 2007 GT500's made. However, we are getting the # out of the color and the # out of the body style (coupe vs vert). Is this how it was done in the 60's? I think they are still pulling together everything and were kind enough to release what they had. You can’t blame them for being careful, as we have all seen the type of feedback they receive even if their “estimated” numbers are off a small amount! I have no problem waiting for them to get things put together, including the certificates. After all, its not like my Shelby is going anywhere other then back in my garage at the end of each day. I want to find out if the #1 vert had white stripes, if so, mine would be the 1st GO vert w/ Tungsten stripes. If anyone sees any info on the #1 GO vert, please let me know. My car was # 1179 of 2694 convertibles 332 of 858 black convertibles Only 209 convertibles have the red insert interior Total production was 10,844 units. chuckstang Posted August 30, 2007 Report Share Posted August 30, 2007 I just called, they said 1,689 Black coupes built which is less than what I expected but they did not know how many were built with or without stripes, so I assume more than 50% were ordered with stripes so Im guessing mine is 1 of 400-800 :D I really wish they broke down the stripe vs stripeless I have never seen a stripe delete car other than my own, not any color.
