Production Numbers- Ford/Shelby Come to an Agreement

I called SVT and they said the reason why they have not officially released the production numbers is a disagreement around Ford and Shelby around the design of the certificates. Officially they now do not have a set time frame to deliver us these numbers. Looks like it is tied up with the lawyers! :banghead:

I think at the very least they should announce how many coupes and Verts were produced!

I agree that what the certificate looks like should have no bearing on the production numbers being disclosed. Seems a bit strange to me.

This does not surprize me at all.

Maybe we will end up with a very nice looking certificate.

This will give us something to talk about in the slow winter months! :hysterical:

Can you track the progress of this? :hysterical:

I was told the same thing as far as resolving a legal issue with Shelby. They didn't say what it was, but said they just got everything worked out and it should be a couple of weeks

Thanks for the phone SD !

Just got off the phone with SVT.

I asked about the build certificate for my 2001 Lightning (I requested it Oct 2001) they said they will send it to me for free because they never sent it . How's that for a long wait ? LOL

The Shelby certificates will should be ready in 2 weeks. cost will be $40.

Mine is #389th Vista blue coup built

#3042 coup built overall.

Oct 26,2006 build date

there were 35 shelbys built that day , quite a large # I was told.

Well I didn't get a complete breakdown of verts, but I got the red #s.

Mine is #330 of 809 torch red verts

#982 of 2,694 total verts

Build Date of 11/15/06

He didn't have my # out of the total 10,844 GT500s built, just the vert breakdown.

Torch Red being 30% of all verts produced, probably followed closely by Black, I would think.

The total #'s were very close to what BlackShelby posted back on July 19th except his #'s included all the preproduction cars too.

Here are the numbers I got these numbers the first day they had them a couple weeks back (no they are not released yet but these will be the official numbers when released(time will tell)

Shelby Coupe was 8,162

Shelby Convertible was 2,702

total=10,864

I ask my friend who works at ford, why the confilcts in numbers he gave me and the other ones listed in this post

Numbers I listed he said includes every gt500 produced for 07 including ones that where built for over seas , test cars , and ones not sold to the public, etc

The svt numbers that are listed previous in post are usa/production/sold to public numbers only which is likely the ones that will be release to us(the lower numbers listed in previous post)

This site is still on the cutting edge of all the latest news on these cars......way ahead of the rest !!! :yahoo:

Thanks for the black #s. It would be nice if they could further break down to stripe colors/options as well.
