Billy
Hi everyone! I'm reaching out to you because after a lot of research, I can't seem to identify the issue with the Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 2014, V8 5800 Cm3 Supercharged engine. Suddenly, it started trembling and emitting smoke with an unpleasant odor. Symptoms: smoke, trembling, unstable idle, odor, jerking. Work done by myself: Changed the injector harness Replaced injector number 2 as it showed on diagnostics Replaced all injector seals Adjusted camshaft torque angle (to address hot start issue) Adjusted timing belt These actions reduced some of the symptoms, but I can't see myself driving it this way, especially at low speeds where the car also jerks. In Group 13, all injectors show values fluctuating between -+ 1.5 to 3.5 mg/tps. None of the injectors have stable data. I tried fixing it myself, but with no positive outcome. I went to the garage and explained the issues with my Ford Shelby Mustang, and they checked it. After identifying the problem, they suggested using an engine cleaner. I applied the product at home, but unfortunately, a few days later, the problem persists with no satisfying results. I'm reaching out for your expertise to get my car running smoothly again. Thank you in advance. Edited December 22, 2023 by Billy
John Guyer
Sounds like a burnt valve. Need to do a compression check.
twobjshelbys
Dealer. You're already shotgunning not broken parts and will spend more than just having the dealer fix it.
