This will keep everyone posted as we progress in adding to our capacity to get cars produced and what expectations will be. Shelby GT500 40th Anniversary As of today, we have made all call backs for the 40th Anniversary packages. If you have not received a call, please notify Sherri at 702-942-7325 or e-mail at sherriw@shelbyautos.com.Sherri is handling all of the 40th Anniversary cars and will be the main point of contact. This will include the 40th Anniversary AND the 40th Anniversary with power and/or braking upgrades. Here are the parameters of the 40th Anniversary cars. OTHER 40th NEWS The package has changed slightly, adding the carbon fiber rocker panels. Some cars have been built and delivered without some components. Once we have those components that were not included, they will be sent to the owners so that they can be added. PERFORMANCE OPTIONS: 600HP and 700+HP are available options on the Coupe 600HP is the max. power option available on the convertible. 600HP warranty to be determined, 700+HP package has NO WARRANTY The 600 and 700+HP pkg will have a one piece drive shaft and larger throttle body. Power upgrade pricing to follow shortly. Shelby Extreme-Plus Brake System (calipers available in Blue, Red, Orange or Black) $4189.98 installed. You can see them at www.shelbyperformanceparts.com. Short throw shifter MIGHT be an option added soon. PRODUCTION UPDATE We have started building the 40th Anniversary packages. We will call the next group in mid August to schedule in more cars. Our plans are to build 300 of these packages this year. We will continue to build them until all cars are built. If you cannot have your car here this year, this is no problem. As long as you have a 2007 GT500, we can build it into a 40th car. We will only stop building these once we have reached the production limit. SHIPPING We are also working with a few shipping companies to try to help save you money. Once we have a better schedule, we will be working with you to help get your car shipped to us and then back home. Of course you can chose your own company or pick up and deliver the car yourself. We will not be responsible for any damages that these parts may incur during removal or shipping. Any parts that will fit into the trunk or back seat of the car will be shipped to you in it. We have started making calls for the Super Snake and taking deposits and assigning CSM numbers. We have lots of calls to make and we will make them in the order that we received requests. Question-1: on the SS prototype the headlights are smoke tinted as are the tail-lights and surrounds, but I didn't see that mentioned in the package. Was that an oversight or just not part of the package? Question-2: there's been a lot of discussion on the possibility of larger Razors for the 40th rears. Still beign worked on or no-can-do? One 'Bad A$$' car and I can't wait to take mine to Vegas! :happy feet: :snake: I did take a lot of pix of th SS and seeing that I'm still green to this site and not knowing how to upload the pics, we will probable have to wait for Coldy to up load his thousands of pix he took while I was there. However I did find out about the smoked tail and head lights and the 07 will come with smoked tail and head lights where the 08 will only have smoked tail lights only. Also, as of last week I've put my deposit down on the SuperSnake package for my 2007 Vista Blue GT500. I'm confirmed as number 32 and I am dying to get the mods done to my car!! Has anyone else put a deposit down on the SuperSnake package yet? Adrienne from SAI gave me a rough timeframe of Sept / Oct for my SuperSnake package. I sure hope they actually hit this timeframe as I've been on the list for the 40th since November of 2006 before I jumped over to the SuperSnake package. If so, that money was to secure a low production number, if that is no longer the case, then I suggest you call them directly & see what info you can get for your money, if they don't give you the answer your looking for ask for the deposit back. You can always "PM" AmyB or Crispy23C here on the boards & they will discuss this with you without you going off in public. If so, that money was to secure a low production number, if that is no longer the case, then I suggest you call them directly & see what info you can get for your money, if they don't give you the answer your looking for ask for the deposit back. You can always "PM" AmyB or Crispy23C here on the boards & they will discuss this with you without you going off in public. I see no need for this to continue or be a matter of discussion, we all know it will be finalized when they say it is. I couldn't disagree more with your position. If representatives of SAI clearly state that all those that have expressed interest in packages will receive an email by "next week" and nothing is sent then they are the ones that shouldn't be posting. Whether or not you have a deposit down is not the issue. It's simply good business practice to follow through with the promises made to your (potential) customers. I agree that we should be getting updates..... We shouldn't have to call and call and email and email some more and pull teeth and then pull some more only to get no updates!! Even if the update is.... 'There is no update'.... At least that would be better than nothing!!! And if we can't speak freely here and voice an OPINION, where can we??? I just think that some communication is in order!! No one is asking for their money back(at least not me)!!!! Again even if the email or letter said nothing..... Just my .02 cents.... We now have 2 blowers, one from ford racing 605 HP and warrantied. The second blower, ther will be a release this week. This blower will have 725 and is finally completed. I am waiting for the EO, we have started calling and asking which blower is wanted. The bigger blower will require a new stronger drive shaft. We are calling and we are scheduling.
