I believe what he's looking for is the following.....

"A Package for Two without Track Time for the amount of (approx) $200.00*

(Add $100.00 for each additional person)

This package would include

1. Two tickets to the Friday night “Shelby 50th Golden Celebration Party” Live entertainment, celebrity guests, food and beverage included. This will be an EPIC Shelby event.

2.Two tickets to Saturday’s Shelby car show @ Carlisle including lunch, entertainment and Guinness World Records documenting history in the making. (Team Shelby and Carlisle Events are working with Guinness World Records to set the first record for the most Shelbys gathered in one place.) This is sure to be a historic Shelby event.

3. Two tickets to the Team Shelby Down Town Carlisle Parade Party. Hors d’ oeuvres are included. (Cash Bar)

4. One exclusive Shelby 50th East gift bag.

5. One Set of cool 50th decals for your car.

Doug had it right. Reading through this thread it seemed like there were some people that couldn't make it to West Virginia, I thought maybe we would get lucky and save some money. I'll just have to pony up and pay the $300.

Or go in with two more TS folk and pay $250. (Come on, some of you are already thinking

it: GROUP BUY!) Although I'm sure the organizers have aleady thought of a limit to the #

of add ons to any package.

Or did I just blow that loophole for us... doh!

Gotcha,

I would suspect that those not wanting track time wouldn't really have any reason to go all the way down to WV and pay the extra $100.00 just to have a "Grand Entrance". I would (as you) much prefer to just meet in Carlisle and have a "Mediocre Entrance" for the $200.00 you were suggesting.

The $100.00 is not for the cruise "Grand Entrance" or drag strip these are bonuses that come with the package and have little exspense related to them. The gift bags, stickers and other related exspenses make up most of the $100.00 and we are considering eliminating them in the attempt to control costs.

We are days away from going live with registration. A lot of time has been devoted by the team to work out the details of this event. Thanks for your patience and for coming back to the forum to check up on the thread. I’ve been monitoring the site and getting a kick out of some of your posts.

At this point please try to refrain from reposting pricing we are concerned it may confuse people that are reading the thread for the first time. We are doing our best to host a awesome Shelby 50th Celebration East and are finding it very challenging when you start adding up tents, entertainment, catering, security, set up, registration help, gift bags, stickers ect. and all that is just on the Carlisle side. Some things have changed and the event packages are going to be modified slightly to make the numbers work. There are no loop holes, we are all on the same team here and we are scary close to break even considering the quality event we are planning on hosting.

This is the first place the event will be posted and all TS members will have plenty of time to register before the event is released to the general public.

Again, thank you for your continued patience and support this is sure to be historic and memorable Shelby event.

What Doug said , thanks for all the effort put in by you and your team. I'm sure it will be a Top Shelf event.

Don

You beat me to it Don.

+100 to what Doug said.

If you though last years Carlise was a success, you ain't seen nuthin' yet. Knowing the guys (John, Andy, Tony) who are working to put this event together for the rest of us, we won't be disappointed. Prepare to be amazed! :drop:

Doug, I don't know you personally, but , Thank you.., like many of us, I have been a Shelby fan since I was 14, I'm 52., With a lot of different cars, all ford. I have been lucky enough to own a 07 tunsgton (stripe delete)... GT500 . Through many modifications, to its current twin turbo setup, I beam with joy over having been so lucky to be apart of such a great group of people. Recently, (dec21st), my father passed away , and I so remember how my mother would ask if we knew anyone on this road we were on, and when he said no, she asked my father to punch it , in my 02 Lightning. God, those are memories forever.. Thanks for hosting the event as they are what we remember....Pete

Sure, I was just being facetious.

Last years event was a blast and I suspect this year will be even better and those that may not realize all the passion and effort you guys put into these events will once they attend.

Yo! Things are looking good. John is really going above and beyond the norm orchestrating and organizing an amazing not to be missed celebration. As you know, it is no small task to try and pull off a world class event - especially when it is not your full time job.

When the web site is released to the public you will instantly see how much work it has been to try and seamlessly plan and organize an event that will cover four states in five days. John is doing his part and soon it will be up to us to do our part - to financially support the event, support the event leadership and be willing to volunteer some time for the benefit of your Team Shelby brethren.

What a year '12 is going to be !!

John couldn't have said it better! It has taken hours upon hours of planning and getting approval and changing things and then more hours and hours of planning and then more corporate changes and so on.... Looking ahead to the event I can't believe the logistics it is taking to pull all of the parts together!! Remember this will be an international event with the world record staff so the planning is simply unreal.

If you have ever been to a John Keller event before than you know his motto is "go big or go home". Now put that motto with the 50th celebration and the largest gathering of Shelby automobiles. Add to that a VIP event that will quite literally be a once in a lifetime event and you are about half of what we have planned. Think Time Square at new years eve... (without Lady Gaga and Justin Beiber LOL).

Well Pete, let me start by sending my condolences on your loss.... I'm so sorry. Hopefully we will meet up someday.... maybe even Carlisle!

I remember going to look at the "new" 1964 Mustang with my dad, who has also passed on. Then watching the Shelby come to life and and saying to him.... someday I will own one of these. Well I bought one for my 51st Bday.... I'm now 56, what a blast they are....

For the record, I'm not the one hosting this event, that would be John, Andy and Tony. I do know these three guys personally and what everybody says about it being a top notch event means just that... it will rock your socks off!!

I was sooo in a car show mood today because of the weather was so nice

I know!!! This is crazy weather this winter. My folks are still on the farm in South Dakota and they had a record breaking day in the high 60's this week. The next day they were 17 degrees and then were supposed to be back in the 50's again. Last year at this time I think they were well below zero. Crazy! If it weren't for the fact that my work salts the heck out of the parking lot I would probably have pulled the car out of the garage and driven it today....in January! Who would have thought.

I've never been to Carlisle, but planning on attending this year since I just purchased my first Shelby a few months ago. It sure sounds like a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to it. I was hoping my girlfriend would be able to go too, but seems as though she will have work obligations that weekend so I guess I'm going to be solo. Once people start planning will there be any folks out there that might want to split cost of a hotel room while out there? Thanks to the TS members organizing this event. I can only imagine what it takes to put something like this together. Patiently waiting for the final details......

Even if this Shelby thing wasnt happening, everyone at least should go to Carlisle one time. It seems to get better and better everywhere. I really enjoy that Ford brings out new vehicles that you can test drive on their road course, its like amusement rides for adults, haha

Now if Carlisle could set up a track like B-J does with professional drivers, that would be awesome

Be a part of one of the largest gatherings in Shelby history as Team Shelby Northeast & Shelby American celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Shelby American in Carlisle, PA.

This is the year for Shelby owners to attend the Carlisle Ford Nationals for a once in a lifetime opportunity. Celebrate a historic milestone as we honor the company and the man that started it all, Carroll Shelby.

Carlisle Events is providing Team Shelby with a premium location to park 400 cars just steps from the Midway and grandstands. This prime real estate at the Ford Nationals is a highly sought after location not shared by many. Team Shelby Northeast will put you in the center of all the excitement that is Carlisle. Imagine having Times Square, NYC for you to entertain you and your friends for a private event that lasts 3 days; that will be the feeling for Shelby owners at the 50th Anniversary Celebration in Carlisle, PA.

Your Shelby will join hundreds of other Shelby vehicles from the last 50 years. This year we will make it official and let the world know that Carlisle, PA is the undisputed largest gathering of Shelbys in the world. Guinness World Record officials will be on hand to verify and document the 2012 Carlisle Ford Nationals / 50th Anniversary Celebration as the official largest assembly of Shelby automobiles on the planet! This event is sure to go down as a notable milestone in Shelby history.

From a world class track event to a VIP entrance unlike anything you have ever witnessed before. An event so big it took 50 years to plan! Your event begins at Summit Point, West Virginia and its famous road course. Drive your Shelby the way Carroll Shelby designed it to be driven: Hard and fast! This course is perfect for track novices and experts alike, with its long straights and winding s-curves. This event will give you the chance to learn how to achieve maximum performance from your vehicle while allowing bragging rights as you put your Shelby through the paces. The track event is open to all vehicles provided they meet the minimum safety requirements. We welcome all Shelby inspired and Ford cars, Bosses, Ford GTs, Vipers, Shelby Dodge etc. You will spend two days at the course and enjoy lunch on us both days. Receive pointers and advice from experienced Team Shelby owners as you dial in your beast to enjoy the finest American made performance cars ever built. (Professional driver instruction will be available for an additional charge for those who would like to learn how to squeeze even more performance out of their cars.) First class accommodations will be available for participants in downtown colonial Winchester, VA.

Shelby American’s display trailer will join VP of Sales and Operations, Gary Patterson along with other Shelby VIP’s to demo some of their new cars and answer any of your technical questions. Be a part of the “track the truck live” through the 50th tour as the display rig travels from Summit Point to Carlisle, all live via Shelby American’s official 50th tour website.

Once you have satisfied your track addiction, prepare for a winding drive from Summit Point through the mountains of Virginia and West Virginia. We’ll depart Friday morning on a poker run to the Carlisle Ford Nationals. Put your windows down, blast some great music and drive “Team Shelby Northeast style” in a caravan to the greatest Ford event in the world! But before we get to the Ford Nationals, we’ll be making a stop just minutes from Carlisle at Quarter Aces Drag-O-Way for a little straight line action. We’ll have the track all to ourselves for a two hour non-stop assault on this beautiful 1/8 mile drag strip. Bragging rights are up for grabs. Or perhaps you would like to challenge your buddy? Either way, a little track time for those who like to drag race. And only $20 per car, no matter how many fans and enthusiasts you have crammed in your Shelby!

When you arrive at Carlisle you will be entering the grounds and driving to the middle of the showfield via a grand entrance. Relax on Friday at the show because Friday night the Shelby American midway location will be open exclusively to the limited ticket holders for the VIP event. Prepare yourself for a grand entrance of special guests unlike anything you have ever experienced. You will then enjoy the finest food and beverage while meeting fellow Shelby owners and taking photos with our special guests. The best live band we can present will be playing while you take in this private event and meet legends of the automotive world. This event is exclusive and LIMITED providing you with a very intimate feel. A truly unbelievable list of special guests is scheduled to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of one of the most famous performance car manufacturers in the world. This is an event worthy of the Shelby 50th Anniversary Tour Celebration.

Team Shelby Northeast has also worked with Shelby American and Shelby owners across North America to assemble an awe inspiring collection of the rarest of rare Shelby Automobiles. We have created a collection of 26 vehicles to represent the best of Shelby over the last 50 years. Original Cobras? We have them! Early production 1965 GT350? We have it! One of the very few original owner GT350s with a Paxton supercharger. No problem! Vintage GT500s. GT500KRs and GT350 Hertzs? Check, check and check! Let's not forget about the rare Series one or the ultra rare F-150 Supersnake because we have them too. Terlinguas, a GT500KR pace car, the Supersnake prototype? No problem, we have those covered. A Don Prudhomme Supersnake, one of only 7 built? Come on, this is the 50th Anniversary Celebration and we are bringing you a collection of the rarest cars in one place at one time worthy of a 50 year collection!

Saturday morning starts with the official recording of the largest gathering of Shelbys ever assembled. Join the 50th Celebration and be a part of world history as we certify with Guinness World Records and Shelby once again takes another record. You and your Shelby will make the record as a documented part of Shelby history. Enjoy a fantastic BBQ lunch prepared exclusively for Team Shelby owners. Relax in the club's tent as a DJ spins great tunes from the past 50 years.

Team Shelby Northeast will once again host its own award ceremony featuring the Top 20 Best of Show awards. Even the most discriminating collector will want to be part of the silent action featuring banners, die casts and other memorabilia to benefit the Carroll Shelby foundation. Be in the front row to watch this year’s burnout contest and the Ms. Carlisle Ford Nationals/Shelby Girl Beauty Contest.

Saturday night means the Ford Parade & Street Party in downtown Carlisle. Not just any parade though; you can be a part of a 400 vehicle parade with a police escort as Shelby American and five decades of Shelbys lead you through historic downtown Carlisle, PA. Thousands of spectators will cheer you on as the streets are closed off for all but parade participants. You will park downtown and enjoy an old fashioned street party complete with hors d’ oeuvres. Local establishments will be open for you to enjoy the best that Carlisle merchants have to offer.

Sunday wraps up the event with Carlisle’s awards presentation. Will your Shelby take home a big prize?

Carlisle Ford Nationals, Shelby American and Team Shelby Northeast bring you an event 50 years in the making.

Buckle up because Shelby’s 50th Celebration East is going to be a hell of a ride!

I know. This weather is killing me here in MI. If it weren't for the salt remnants I would totally take the car out of hibernation and stretch her legs. Just a few months yet.

There are 3 of us driving down. We are hooking up with Stoll out of Cincinnati and heading West on 50 to 55. Someone else (Scott will have to elaborate) is meeting us in NE Ohio Monday night. From there the 5 of us are heading West if you want to join us for the drive into Winchester on the 29th. If your not coming in early we can pony up on way back Sunday the 3rd. Let me know and we will send details and phones.
