twobjshelbys Posted March 24, 2011 Report Share Posted March 24, 2011 Via email while I was in Korea I learned that Pinetop Perkins, a blues great, passed away on 21-Mar. I had the pleasure of being able to talk with him on two occasions during a couple of his shows at a local place. He was a great person and musician. Passed away at age 97. I'll post a few pictures that I took of him after I get back to Colorado next week. He played in Austin frequently. It was his "home town".
