Stormracer
Last December I had a cataract in my right eye replaced with a lens implant. Well about 2 weeks ago I went into the eye specialist because I had a little blurriness. "That" doctor said all was fine and maybe my lens prescription was just a little off, but if I wanted he could give me a prescription for glasses. I stated it was not that bad. But then within the last week, I started getting a lot of blurriness in the upper inside corner of my eye and a bunch of floaters. So I was outside doing lawn work, cleaning cars and I thought that I should give them a call again to see if I could have another checkup. So I go in, and within 20 minutes they are telling me to get to the hospital and they are calling in a Retina specialist to operate on me immediately. Well my Retina was tearing away from my eye, and if I had not gone in and trusted that something was wrong I could have been blind within the week. So all I can say is trust when you think something is wrong with you if you have a solid feeling about that!

SGT/SC2873
wow, glad you went back too. Most probably would not have. I know I am the worst about going to doctors unless I just can't move. Hope everything gets cleared up for you soon. Craig
07REDGT500
Glad it worked out for you. I had a similar loss of sight in one eye and went right to the eye doctor, unfortunately mine was not repairable (I now have a prosthetic). Bottom like is take care of your eyes, you only get one set.

twobjshelbys
I'm very glad you caught it in time. I had cataract surgery a year ago and the surgeon warned me of exactly that and said that if it happened I should go directly to the emergency room and tell them I'd just had cataract surgery. They think it's just indigestion or something else. When you start having symptoms get help fast. If it's a MI the sooner you get to the cath lab the sooner you can stop the tissue damage to the heart. This equates to not only survival but quality of life after the event is corrected. I went back to eye doctor today and he said everything is looking great. Just waiting for my bubble to dissipate, so that I can see normal again.
