Rumors
Usually when I tell people that I am a Landman their first response is "what is that"? Now days with all the negative propaganda with fracking more and more people know what the position is. I opened an oil and gas brokerage company in 1984 and my firm represents oil and gas company's from around the USA. Our main emphasis is project management, whereas I supply personel to the industry to negotiate oil and gas lease contracts with mineral owners for the purposes of domestic oil and gas exploration. Of course the job entails lots of title work, pipeline acquisition, damage settlements, state and federal representation and due dilligence, just to name a few. Has been a rewarding career. Have had the opportunity to meet thousands of people over the years (mostly in their homes), some good and some bad, however if you can take something from each individual person you meet and apply it to your own life then even the bad will always be good, as everyone has something to offer if you can absorb and capture it for your own use. To all the military people I have seen posting in here, thank you very much for everything you have and are currently doing for us. Not only are you making our Great Country safer but my line of work is also making us less dependent on foriegn supplies. BUY AMERICAN, INVEST IN AMERICA, BE PROUD OF AMERICA AND KEEP IT HERE. bigbru2
Hello everyone! I am a warehouse worker for an art supply company. I bought my used race red 2011 Shelby GT500 stripe delete with some money down and my good credit paid the rest. I am slowly paying it off. I really enjoy the compliments I get on the car. I am OCD on the appearance . My daughters enjoy it, the wife not so much. I get nagged a lot, but it is worth it when I go for a ride alone and fell that power. Awesome!! SVT NAJA
bigbru2, I see this is your first post. Welcome to Team Shelby and congrats on your 2011 RR SD GT500! Great choice, as it came with many advanced features still found in the 13/14's such as an aluminum block, EPAS, better cooling, etc. Post up some when you get a chance. We must be about the same age-I graduated high school in 1970. A million thanks for your service. We have a 12 black stripe delete. All stock except for a few chrome accents. You have quite a list-impressive. Enjoy your retirement. If ever up in the Dakota country give us a call and we'll go for a cruise!
MTYQIN
verlyn12, You have some of the most beautiful country I ever passed through transiting between duty stations on either coast. If I ever get out there with the Shelby, I will definitely give you a shout. It would be a blast to hit some of your open roads with a buddy who knows the area. Julie Simons
I worked in research for a Valley Fever vaccine for over 8 years (Molecular and Cellular Biologist) before I decided to go with my dream and start my own line of skin care products, which I have been selling for over 12 years now on my own site and on Amazon. My whole family works for me and it has been really amazing! As a single mom it has allowed me to put my daughter through college, buy my own house and of course get my dream car, my bad a$$ Shelby. Still missing a partner in crime, that would make life perfect, but for reasons I did not consider, choosing a car that looks like it will eat people for dinner (no regrets, I love my car!) as well as being fairly successful (and hopefully not that I am a rotten person...) seems to have made me a little erm...intimidating. So for now I will be happy with a great business, car and family and cross my fingers for the rest!

JDrew
I'm a confinement officer with the Sheriffs Office and have been there for 7yrs. I was also a patrolman for a city in the next county over but got tired of standing in the rain and snow. After reading this entire thread, I'm probably the most boring person on here. Never had any Ford products before I bought my Shelby. It's quite fitting I bought it on April 17th, a date I'll easily remember. Stand-by for lots of dumb questions as I've had Camaros and Jeeps and trying to learn the ways of the Ford.

1.21Gigawatts
Hey Julie, Are you in AZ by any chance ? I was at an intersection recently in the Phx area and an attractive Lady pulled up next to me in the turn lane in a BA 2012 GT500, I was rolling down my window as the turn signal went green and away she went... I'm sure I would have said something dumb anyway... I am an industrial electrician and mechanic and count my life's biggest achievements as raising 3 awesome kids to their 20's successfully, and then landing my GT500 last fall... Almost every time i leave the house someone is complimenting my car, and I take so much pride in it, it is ridiculous... But, without a doubt the best part of owning this car so far has been meeting SO many incredible people on the Shelby Bash this year. Seems like these cars attract really good quality people who love sharing the passion we all have for these incredible rides. Matt

I do live in AZ, but I live down in Tucson, have only had the car up to Phoenix a few times, though because it is a happy thought I will assume it was me at the intersection and it was a missed chance to meet you and hopefully we will catch up at another AZ intersection! I wish I had gone up to the Shelby Bash, I have got to meet a lot of people here in Tucson at local shows and meets and you are right, there are a lot of wonderful people who drive these amazing cars! Chris2dog
I am the head assistant for a very large orthodontic practice, 20+ years in my field. My Shelby is perfect therapy after a long day of working in people's mouths! I thought that by choosing the stripe delete package, my Shelby would "blend in" and not be so noticeable...but I was wrong! I get lots of thumbs ups (is that a word?) and headlight flashes from other sports/muscle cars, almost on a weekly basis! I love my car more than I thought I would, it's my baby for sure! Nice to see there are at least a few other girls besides me who enjoy driving our awesome cars!!

Hi Julie, Glad you are relatively close by, I will be keeping an eye out for you & Lillith and will get my window down faster next time, LOL... I have just discovered how much fun it is to go to car shows and on cruises and am always looking for the next local meet, so keep me in the loop if something cool is coming up down there and I will try to make it. I missed the Fabulous Fords at Knotts Berry farm this last weekend, but had to decide between the Shelby Vegas bash and going to San Diego, and no regrets there...cant wait for next years run!
