NordicShelby Posted November 1, 2009 Report Share Posted November 1, 2009 This was at OshKosh airshow 09 My 3 year old and I drove the Shelby from MPLS to OshKosh and camped in our tent for a couple nights we were able to meet Carroll at a signing and at the Mustang Corral Car Show at OshKosh. Savannah was being a little Shy. And here is Cleo posing next to the Sleeping Savannah. This was at Terlingua 08 right after he signed my car. I have been trying to just see Mr. Shelby in person for 28+ yrs. Read all his books, always had my high school locker decked out in S/C Cobra pics, then my tool boxes over the years. Went to SEMA this past week, hoping, praying and dreaming to FINALLY get to meet the legend. I need need an autograph or a pic. Just a handshake and to tell him "Thank you" for all he has done for the history of the high horsepower side of the auto industry. No luck Doc's orders for him to stay low due to his age and the swine flu. I would have even went to SAI to meet him, but an SAI worker at SEMA said he wouldn't even be there.
