switz
A sad day for all Americans: Walter Cronkite has passed. This is a true American and we will see what kind of news coverage he gets compared to MJ. God Bless you Mr. Cronkite.
2007GT
I was just watching the coverage on CNN. There will never be another like him and it's sad that so many "20 somethings" never actually got the chance to watch his newscast and get to know him. He was the real thing. Unfortunately he couldn't "moonwalk" so I guess his coverage will pale in comparison to MJ.

switz
Mr. Cronkite was the first newsman to challenge the Vietnam war. He had so much influence over the nation that then President Johnson stated, "If I have lost Walter, I have lost the country."
