And Why did the Police Investigation not label it as a "Hate Crime"?????????? My response was the lack of evidence so far and the Question "does it change the investigation if it is labled a "Hate Crime"?????????? sportscars Posted July 10, 2009 Report Share Posted July 10, 2009 While I am not in law enforcement, I would think that since there are different classifications of crimes there are different investigations for them. If not then why have "hate" crimes at all. I believe (and I may be wrong) that a "hate" crime can bring Federal charges, so I would think that might change the investigation a little - Feds vs local thing.
