The Times, They Are a Changin'!

Recommended Posts

We're all affected by the recent economic crisis.

Since we're all in this together, why don't we share some things to help downsize our monthly expenditures?

I've started eating leftovers more than I used to.

I try to buy food that's on sale and adjust my diet accordingly.

I don't eat out as often.

I wait longer to turn on the AC in the house.

I look for hooker coupons in the papers.

I've adjusted my driving habits. I try - try - to leave stop lights/signs more smoothly.

I've cut back on my shower time to save on hot water!

Whatcha got? :lurk:

+1 Eat out less often

-Don't use credit card(s)

-Buy food/household supplies in bulk at warehouse club

-Enjoy cruising in car rather than blowing money

-Remembering that the best things in life are free

And - I'm trying to keep lights turned off in rooms I'm not in. Also, I'm replacing my old incandesecent light bulbs with the new flourescent ones!

I only do burnouts on even numbered days, too. :lurk:

I recommend checking your Internet access and cable TV plans. Most companies overcharge and don't advertise the lower cost plans. You are most likely paying for too much product that you are not using. I pay $12/month for basic (60 channels) cable TV and $28/month for cable Internet access.

On a serious note.....

I have a small frige in my Office so I keep 2 Liter Bottles of the Gracery Store Brand Soda and Grape Jelly in it and I keep Peanut Butter, Bread and Chips in my Office to, as well as a Box of Cherios so I don't have to buy my Lunch or use any extra Gas. I now pretty much only eat out when I am at a Cruise Inn. I only use my Credit Card when I go out of Town and I will soon be giving it up.

1.) Take a crap at work before you leave for the day Safe water and TP).

2.) Drive a Hybrid GT500 (burns gas and rubber)

3.) Eat at the "all you can eat buffet" followed by all you can eat Tums.

4.) Pimp out wife

5.) Pimp out self (no takers yet)

Actually I haven't felt a thing and actually have spent more now due to good deals. I have a recession proof job and just riding the wave. :happy feet:
