Cali_KR
Other than the title and a few cameos (parked) the movie is NOT about cars, rather the story is about racism and resulting violence
RUFDRAFT
Looked like it was about gang violence - not racism.

Dunedindon#5481
My first car was a 1972 Red, Gran Torino Sport with a white vinyl top and a 4V 351 Cleveland. Couldn't keep timing chains in the thing but when it was running it was mighty fun. Looks like a good Clint Eastwood movie. I'm going to see it. John Canfield
The car is important to teh movie ,but it's not a car movie. I think those of us who really love our cars can relate to Eastwoods character in so many ways. It is a movie about a lot of things, and I was surprised how much humor is in it. But there is also moments that will bring a tear to your eye, and it is a movie that makes you think. In other words...GO SEE IT!!!!
supersnake94
I just got home from seeing Gran Torino. I liked the film a whole lot. I feel bad for Eastwood's role at the end of the film. But it was a very heart warming movie.
