He is brilliant and a true patriot. Kudos! For your excellence! I agree with the sentiment of this brave young man in the video. I make quilts for families of those who have lost loved ones in Iraq. They are brave and their sacrifice is profound. Yet, the majority of them feel that their loved one did not die in vain. I also agree with this fine, and obviously proud American that President McCain will be a fine president. I say, with confidence, that President McCain will be a president who respects and recognizes all people. He will break another "glass ceiling" as he will show America that we can truly put down the swords of partisanship. We can truly work as a team and be team USA instead of Democrats and Republicans. Obama's far left stance will only divide the country further. We do not need that as "United we stand and divided we fall" is quite the thing to reflect on. Are we truly the UNITED States of America or are we the far left "take over" socialist country that Obama will make us, which will lead to more hate, anger and certainly some very unhappy citizens. You want to talk about redistribution of wealth? How about what the last 8 years brought? The largest transfer of wealth to the already wealthy in history. And how did that work out? Haven't we learned yet that trickle down doesn't work? Giving more to the top earners doesn't give us more in the end. It just gives the wealthy more. We now have the largest disparity in wages from lowest to highest paid. Hell - the President makes only $400,000 a year. The wealthy at the top are making millions and billions at all of our expense. There's really no debate about a socialized economy with Obma - since that has already been set in motion. McCain simply talking about it doesn't make it so. The only thing relevant to 'socialism' left to discuss is health care. And the reality is - we have the worst health care of all the industrialized nations of the world. Some statistics rate it as bad as 38th in the world. And ours costs more than any of the others. A for-profit health care system is dangerous. Every time a provider has to provide coverage - it is seen as a loss. And the system is meant to avoid losses. Insurance providers are simply a front to a finance and investment house. They are meant to make money - not to provide coverage. All the other top industrialized nations have a nationalized health care system. And these are all capitalist societies. Redistribution? Remember - it is and has always been a progressive tax structure. Those who make more, pay at a higher rate. And we are only talking about setting the tax rate for the wealthy back to what it was before Bush. Anyone making less than $250k/yr will not pay more in tax - and most will get a tax break. There are those among us that make more than that $250/yr. Some are happy to pay more - some are not. Again - yes I say it is a patirotic thing to do to pay taxes. How else would we have a militarty to defend us; an interstate system to connect us; an educational and library system to teach us; and a police and fire force to protect us? KCMO-GT500 Posted November 1, 2008 Report Share Posted November 1, 2008 Dear Fellow Business Owners As a Business owner who employs 30 people, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barack Obama will be our next President and that my Taxes and Fees will go up in a BIG way. To compensate for these increases, I figure that the Customer will have to see an increase in my fees to them of about 8%. I will also have to lay off 6 of my employees. This really bothered me as I believe we are family here and didn't know how to choose who will have to go. So this is what I did. I strolled thru the parking lot and found 8 Obama bumper stickers on my employees cars. I have decided these folks will be the first to be laid off. I can't think of another fair way to approach this problem. If you have a better idea, let me know. I am sending this letter to all Business owners that I know. Sincerely ...... It all has to do with opperating costs! The more the cost goes up to run a business the higher the prices get and the less jobs are made available. This is a long proven FACT throughout history! So while businesses get hit with a 3% tax increase, consumers get hit with a 6% - 9% price increase! It takes that much just to off set the tax increase the business has to pay! So WHO REALLY PAYS??? THe very people Obama is trying to give a break to! Great! They don't get a tax increase and they actually get a tax cut! Sounds wonderful! Only that tax cut will not come close to covering the higher prices they pay for everything they need to buy just to live on! C'mon, John, if you raise prices 6% - 9% just how far do you think that $1,000 per year tax credit is going to go on supporting a family of four??? That measly $1,000 will be eaten up in the first month alone! That leaves 11 more months out the year everyone has to pay those higher prices! So in the end, instead of a $1,000 tax credit, the reality will be spending an additional $10K+ per year in higher prices just to buy the same exact stuff you could have bought a year prior before any tax increase! Everyone will have a lot less spending power. BTW....that $1,000 tax credit per year for a family of four translates to .48 per hour based on a 40 hour work week, assuming one spouse is working. If both spouses are working, which most are, that translates into .24 cents per hour for each spouse based on a 40 hour work week! I am telling you that Obama's plan will be nothing but an economic disaster!!! Higher prices costing the very people he wants to give tax credits to that will cost them 10 times more than the tax savings they get per year just because of higher prices....less jobs being created....current jobs being lost....bigger business moving more of their business outside of the US just to save cost and remain competitive! And this is just a result of that measly 3% tax increase, and his capital gains tax increase. This doesn't account for his national healthcare cost that businesses will get hit with! This plan of his will drive this country right into the worst depression in history! FACT! Then what??? Can you say hello to full blown socialism? The only way you will ever get cost of healthcare under control is if they regulate what doctors, hospitals and drug companies can charge you! That is the only reason healthcare cost is out of control! Once you mandate healthcare they will get more out of control with what they charge! If you need proof of that just look at the auto insurance industry! Auto insurance is mandated and auto insurance has gone way up instead of down! And you are dead wrong on your democrat theory. The record is proof and the record shows that everytime taxes were lowered more jobs were created and more tax revenues were generated for the government! Obama wants to cripple that very source that has proven time again that his ideas fail while lowering taxes succeed! The dems have a solid history of adding more government programs that have all ended up out of control with additional costs and our taxes have always gone up because of it and that has always slowed growth and promoted more poverty! I GUARANTEE IT that if Obama wins we will be in a depression before he takes office or very shortly after! So between Dec 08 - Feb 09....remember I told you so! All of his arguments are irrelevant - even to him. He simply poses these arguments to the base masses - as the Republican party and its supporters do.
