Very cool. In the scheme of things, is this engine a hot rod or a Taurus?

More pics!!

What does MILF stand for? If you know, where did you first learn about this acronym?

Ruf- the MILF term originalted from the original American Pie movie when they referred to a good looking "mother" of another kid in the movie. It stands for "Mother I'd Like to F*#k".

That's it.

I started as an apprentice machinist in 1969 for a Canadian railroad. I worked my way up through the ranks as general manager where we overhauled several locomotives a year. 27 years later I left when the railroad sold the facility. 11 years ago I moved to the States and now work for a leasing company. As a share holder, I manage the performance, maintenance and overhaul programs of our fleet of 800 locomotives. I also specialize in EMD 2 cycle engines, big ones. I love what I do and it has been a great ride.

Hey Shelby3, wow! locomotives!! how cool!

A friend of mine is an avid rairoadiana collector, mostly regional railroads of the catskill region of NY but he also has a lot of china service for the famous named trains and many lanterns, brochures/schedules, coal stoves, etc. He also volunteers on the Ulster & Delaware out or Arkville and on the recently revived Adirondack railway. Don't know if the railroadiana stuff is of interest to you, but if it is and you're ever up this way just let me know and he'll gladly open his private museum and give you a personal tour -- he loves doing that for anyone who appreciates railroading.

I'll send him the pic of the loco -- he'll enjoy that. ;-)

O.K. I'll give this a try.

Family moved to Kansas in 69. Quit school at 16, went to Mcd's, then Long John Silver to Apprentice Plumber. Wrote the GED and Aced it. Then I moved back to Canada in 1980.

Apprentice Plumber, then Apprentice Electrician. Layoffs, Layoffs. The Eighties were brutal in Construction. 20% Interest rates.

Then went to Northern Telecom. Mainframe switching Division. Done just about every electronic position they had. Wiring Operator, Component Repair, Surface mount Assemble and Repair, Tester/Technician for seven years. Then left Northern Telecom to go to College. Got my Degree In Electrical Engineering Technology. Worked for a year fixing cash registers and typewriters. Then I landed a position at a University. I have been in one of the Electronics shop at the University for Seventeen years now and love it. We had 34,000 students for a few years, over half female 17-23 years young.

Started developing and printing negatives/photos in my room at 15. Sold hundreds of car racing photos and bought my first car that way. Many years later I now own allot of professional Photography Equipment, film and digital. Tore apart and rebuilt a few engines in those days. Brakes, headers, carb rebuilds, stereo instalations, you name it, I probably fixed it. :banana piano:

:hysterical2: Eh! :hysterical:
