I drove an 07 SGT this past weekend and talked to a friend at a dealership who can give me a great deal on an 08 SGT. Does anyone know what the estimated time from the build date of the car to SAI to actual delivery is? I'm just trying to get an idea of the lead time on the 08's. Also, I read that only roughly 30% of 08 production are going to be coupes and the convertible are estimated to be 70%. Has anyone else heard this? I have heard the 70/30 ratio but do not have numbers to back it up. I have an '08 and my best reconstuction of the time lag is 60 days from arrival at SAI to shipping to the customer. The '08s have some nice little tweaks to them but the '07 colors are sharp as well. I would decide which color is your preference and go with that. The car is the same unless, of course, you want a drop top (sorry, I'm old and that's what we called them). If you want the drop top, it will have to be a 2008. The 07 I test drove was BLACK, it was extremely nice but this is going to be my daily driver and black is so hard to keep clean all the time. Plus I have a '66 fastback that was special ordered in Sapphire blue (same blue used on '66 Shelbys) so I think it'll be cool to have the cars almost the same color. I ordered mine August 3/07 Checked with dealer last week said it would be shipped to SAI Dec. 5/07 did Vin Check yesterday said it was on route to SAI.
