SGT2666
I'm looking at the Adams wax system http://www.adamspolishes.com/ I've heard really good things about it, and I have access to it wholesale. I'm also looking at the Griots http://www.griotsgarage.com looks like a similar system maybe a little less expensive. Any of you have experience with this stuff ? stump_breaker
QUICK! DUCK! You're about to get hit with a Zaino bottle! :D Meh, you probably wont get that joke. Zaino is very popular on this board. Do a search and there are tons of info on waxing systems and procedures. I personally use products from topoftheline.com but IMO wax is wax. It's all in the prep. And get a Porter Cable 7424. You will be very pleased. http://forum.shelbyautos.com/index.php?sho...hl=porter+cable
2+2
I really like Maguires NXT liquid wax and NXT quick detailer. It is the easiest wax to apply and remove I have ever used. You can wax your car in a hour easy. I can not imagine another of the high dollars wax systems being all not much better. The wax systems may be better, but the ease of NXT lets me wax it often and it looks great.
ShelbyPilot
Although I use Zaino and think the results are wonderful it does get a little tiresome doing a 4-5 step process each time I want to wax.....wash, Z-5, Z-6, Z-2, Z-6. Plus inorder to do it in a day you have to use the ZFX accelerator thing. I have yet to measure out the right amount of Z-2 or Z-5 without having waste. I hear they have a new wipe on and leave formula but I have only read one person using it. I think I agree with stump that the preperation is just as important if not more then the product. I would pick something that has a good reputation and provides protection.
RogerS
You have some great tips above. I have been using Griot's exclusively since 2000 and have been very satisfied with the results. Once you go through the intial wash, clay, fine polish, (with the porter cable as Stump mentioned) you finish with best of show wax you will have a mirror like shine. The upkeep is minimal in that you use the detail spray in between your washes. It will hold up for the entire year. The Zaino is a great product and I had the opportunity to use that recently. It made a beliver out of me. But as Socal said it is time consuming. Either way you choose you must dewax/degrease with dawn dish soap first then begin the process of clay. Then choose whatever product you think will give you the best results. Good luck and happy waxing!

Although I swear by Zaino, I can think of better ways to spend a Saturday. Dawn wash/Clay Bar/Zaino wash/Z2/Z6/Z5/Z6/Z8. Total = 9 hours. It was worth all the work. I took it out for a spin Saturday night and a guy in a Black C6 Corvette stopped to take pictures.
bruces
I like Mothers products, Sealer Glaze gives it wet look. also use Griots products and Meguiars. depends how long I have to clean car, being that it is driven maybe once a week does not get to dirty. I think SAI/GTHero should pin just that quote.
switch
I use the Blackfire 3 step system. Polish, sealant and then the Blackfire wet diamond paste wax. Awesome shine and the look is wet! www. properautocare.com

waterguy959
+1 on the ZAINO! Great stuff and yes it takes effort but my baby is worth it. Cars are like women, you have to work at it. And the payoff is huge! Great looks, big trophy's and lot's of lookers. Oh yea, love my Zaino. OK OK OK. Just use what you think is best. :D
