VEGASTY
just curious on this issue, as the dealer told me it had one of the mini spare tires but in fact has the tire refill kit.
MattInDetroit
just curious on this issue, as the dealer told me it had one of the mini spare tires but in fact has the tire refill kit. Weight and I'm sure cost factored in. It's my understanding that these kits work REALLY REALLY well unless you tore a sidewall out etc. This is why I have AAA. MattInDetroit
Its deleted at Flat Rock and the kit is added there....not on Shelby's end. Of course my dealer still says I am getting a spare tire! LOL...ask him if it's a matching 18" polished rim? Then get it in writing! :D I'm not sure honestly what spare comes with a standard GT that's ordered with 18" rims. I guess an 18" spare would fit in the well. But given I would stop at the first tire store I found I wouldn't drive on it long anyway. Can you imagine a skinny black spare?
Shelby-Don
I believe the spare was left out due to the varying tire sizes from front to back.
SMGT
I believe the spare was left out due to the varying tire sizes from front to back. All four tires are the same size. ShelbyPilot
....Isn't there something with ABS that you need a full size (diameter) spare. Perhaps there isn't room for a full size spare and that is why both the GT500 and the Shelby GT go without. Does a Standard GT with ABS still have a spare? Or maybe it's just weight. ShelbyGT/SC
I just checked my HVBoM (page 8 of 8) and it reads: Wheel - Spare D17AA Less Spare Wheel
