Which stripe color should I get???

Recommended Posts

I have a Black coupe with full stripe delete but really want some side stripes, as I think it is just a bit too much a sleeper look haha

So what do you think,

-Tungsten

-Satin Silver

-Vapor

Those are the only gray colors I could think of but not even sure if all are available.

If anyone knows for sure, please let me know what the proper part numbers are and price as well. I had a diagram with the stripes at one time but I really don't remember a part number given for the side stripes, it was confusing because they sold each part of the car's stripes separately not just "over the top stripes" or "side stripes"

Please let me know if anyone has ordered these individually from a dealer before, I don't want any non OEM stripes from Ebay, just looking for OEM for now.

I am leaning towards the Satin Silver as I remember many wished Ford offered that from the factory on a black car.

I would like the color to match the wheels and emblems as best as possible :D

thanks

yellow on black!?!

I really only want the side stripes and I think the vinyl would be ok, paint would be overkill IMO unlesss someone wanted to do it for $100

Im torn between satin silver or alloy but I have seen neither in person so its impossible to say.

I like the color of the silver used on the Shelby GT but not sure if it is satin silver or a unique Shelby silver color

I wrote this thread when putting my stripes on.

I don't have list pricing on the side stripes but you can see the part number in the PDF in this thread. I went with tungsten stripes. I think satin silver would be too light. I have not seen vapor but I expect it would probably be light as well.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Red, if you want attention....it looks sweet. Other then that, Silver.

On the 08 Vert and picking Ebony, you only have two choices, white or alloy. Alloy is much darker than the silver or tungsten of last year. I picked the alloy as I like the "slight" difference in color between that and the ebony, but it was just enough to show off the GT500 name. Works for me, never seen it, but can't wait! Good choice if you ask me. :happy feet:

I think vapor with all stripes deleted would be the sexiest of ll.

Does anyone have satin silver stripes? I have not seen in person. Do they look like the silver used on the Shelby GTs?

I want a stripe that closely matches the color of the wheels and emblems, if not that, than the alloy stripes for that subtle but noticeable difference.

Red I thought about but I dont have the red interior so I don't think that would work out well for me.

I want mine to eventually look like a 68 KR/08 KR hence why I centered my SHELBY and want just side stripes like the 68s.

thx

Thanks that is what I was looking for.

Am I reading this right, I see 20000A for the side stripe but is that part number for both sides? And how do you designate which color? I also do not see a price for that part number in that PDF, am I missing it or do you know?

Thanks alot!

Just call the dealer and tell them what stripe you want (side stripes) and color. They will pull the appropriate part number for you and give you the price. The left hand part numbers will end in "1". I expect that you will need to order two parts (passenger and driver side since they are different). I do not have the price for the side stripes as they were on my car already (i did not need them).

Whats wrong with full stripe delete on black... :poke: Its my favorite color BY FAR :yahoo: ... but maybe cause thats what is sitting in my garage.. :headscratch: i spent many nights tournemted by the same delima that you are curently facing, however i decided to stay stripeless and im damn glad i did! Everyone tells me they love the car without stripes when they see it and thats the same way i feel. But to each his own! (i really like the flat black stripe from the SS... there are few things in my opinion that look better than black on black.)

I agree but have you seen alloy on black, it looks like black on black to me.

I get tired of having people ask me if it is real since it has no stripes. I do not like the lemans stripes but the side does look like its missing something without the GT500 side stripes but I may stay stripeless.

thanks for the tips!

Had a black camaro 91 Z28. Had painted dark metallic burgandy stripes on it. Good contrast against the black, especially in the bright sunlight.
