My dealer called me today and told me the price on my car (Canadian MSRP) would be $59,250 CDN plus tax for my convert with all options. He just received the info today from Ford. He said because I am getting their number one car to expect delivery :happy feet: in late June or early July. They have an allocation of 15 vehicles (SVT dealer) and expect to get their 15th Shelby by this time next year. Great news all around! :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet:

Congrats!

$59,250 CDN = $53,629.62 USD @ current exchange rates for a fully optioned vert.

Wouldn't do that Math that way my dealer indicated its not a straight exchange thing for the car... Otherwise it would be less.

Sorry to break the news.

Cheers,

Yes I ordered both, but from different dealers. They are both number 1 cars so they should both arrive around the same time. I dont have the coupe pricing yet (dealer hasn't called me) but it should be around the same difference that you find between GT coupe and convert.

The Ontario GT500 Owners Group would be a great idea!

Congrats!

I just did a Candian to US MSRP ratio between a Mustang GT convert in Canada and one in the US (comparably equiped....GT, all options, convert:

USD was 35,505

CDN was 43,874

Ratio is: 35505/43874 = .809%

If this ratio is maintained on the 07 Shelbys then the US list on my convert with all options would be $47,950 USD which probably makes sense.

Can I ask who your dealer is? I am also # 1 at my dealer and did not hear any thing. Excided the price is finally out but disapointed knowing what the exchange rate is. I guess there is also the chance that the US prices may be a lot higher then $40-$44. The delivery date is way sooner then I would have thought. An Ontario meet this summer sounds great. Count me in.

Parkway Ford in Waterloo is the dealer for the convert. My convert with all options CDN is $59,250 so the coupe with all options should be approx 55,250 CDN. (A normal GT coupe is 4k less than the GT convert in Canada.)

If the same ratio applies the US MSRP would come in at around 48K for the convert and 44K for the coupe WITH ALL options including shaker 1000, inrterior upgrade w red interior. No sat radio avail in Canada yet.

I am also ordering a vert but no shaker 1000 or red interior. That could take $3,000 off the price? I feel a little better now. I am getting ebony with a lower white stripe.

If Convert loaded is 59250

and you subtract:

Convert 4000

Red accent interior 245

Shaker 1000 1975

Interior upgrade 895 (estimate)

Then base coupe should be approx ....52,135 cdn. Using the current US/CDN MSRP ratio on Candian vs US Mustang GTs... the US base coupe MSRP should then come in at 42,000 approx...

Price: $41,950 for coupe (with delivery and destination)

An Ontario meet works for me too. 52k for a base coupe is good IMO for what you're getting.

And I got mine in the system today with MSRP on the Purchase Agreement -

Vert, no options, $57,299. I asked what the coupe price was and he said about $3,000 lower.

Markham - when we went over the options list, other than the Shaker 1000, there were only stripe delete and satelite radio listed. The interior upgrade on his order guide was included in the MSRP! I'll call on Monday to double check, though.

He also said delivery date is September (I am #1 on this dealer's list). So I hope you're dealer's delivery date is accurate!

If this helps anyone figure out the coupe price, my '04 Cobra 'vert was $52,000 - so there is a $5,000 bump in MSRP.

King Cobra - happy days are here!

Damn, I actually spoke to my dealer today, stopped by with my son to check out the Ford GT in the showroom and yet he never mentioned anything.

When I got my bill of sale last Saturday we agreed to set the MSRP at 55,000.00 with adjustments when Ford released MSRP.

I'll be calling him Tuesday for sure as he gets Monday off. Anything else you guys find out keep me posted please.

You bet! lets see when our delivery dates are going to be ... i'll meet you in Vancouver (i have a stinkin' 1-1/2 hr ferry ride each way)! You're gonna have a blast driving the Shelby back to Kelowna through the Rockies.

My dealer also said that they are getting 15 cars for 2007 model year. I thought there were only 2 SVT dealers in Van - there are 3 getting their full allotments.

The interior upgrade 68S "premium trim pkg" is listed on my "vehicle order confirmation" as a separate option item. When we talked on the phone about the total MSRP, my dealer didn't break anything out specifically and I didnt ask him to do so. The 68S option package includes "wrapped and stitched instrument panel brow and center console w/upgraded door armrest, electrochromatic mirror w/compass & aluminum pedal covers" I guess it is possible that it is included on Canadian cars in the MSRP but I dont know one way or another. All I know for sure is that it was ordered on my car and included at the final MSRP of 59,250.

Hi James,

I'd just gotten back from Alberta yesterday and there was a voice message from the Sales Manager. He was riding pretty high by the sound of the message! :yahoo: He had phoned at around 4pm and asked that I call him back, but I was up at 3am to catch my flight and all I was thinking about was my bed. After all these months of anticipation can you believe I'd do that!! :headscratch: So no, I never got a price out of him.

I was expecting the price to be around the $52K Canadian mark for the coupe, but with the dollar appreciating like it has by 8% or so, since the beginning of the year, I was hoping for even less. It doesn't look like it though? :angry2:

One thing that I wonder about is if there is more of a difference between invice and MSRP on Canadian cars than there is on cars destined for the US market. Since they can't sell above MSRP this would be a way for the Canadian dealers to be able to take advantage of the more popular cars too. I imagine Canadian dealers can sell below MSRP? Just a thought. I wolud think that Canadian dealers would have approached the manufacturers about this if they are not allowed to sell above MSRP. Or possibly they have a different holdback system or something. Anybody know for sure?

yes they can sell below, times are tough, so they regularly do........sometimes close to invoice and incredible finance rates too. As for this car, well my buddy and I tried, we placed deposits a year ago on two cars and tried even for a $500 discount............no luck.............they told us straight out, you don't want them, someone else will. Yes, we also have holdback at dealers

Tried having a financing discussion with my dealer as Ford of Canada is offering some very low 1.9% finance terms. Dealer looked at me sideways and said not a chane, why would we finance potentially the number one selling car in North America at 1.9%.

I agreed I was just curious thinking if I can leave some of my cash in the Bank and play with FORDS money why not?

Cheers,

Requis...Am I near the ffifty posts yet

I can tell you that my 2002 Tbird with an MSRP of $58,000 had an invoice of $5,200 less. The sales guy was good enough to give me a copy for my collection.

I do not understand. Are you saying a Ford dealer can NOT sell a vehical for over msrp. More info please I know of a dealer that said he has 2 gt500's spoken for @ $100,000 a piece and will sell the rest to the highest buyer.
