mkaresh
You seem to be reading these results as unfavorable. When I read them to indicate that the average Mustang will require only a single repair trip--for anything, even small stuff--every two years or so, that seems pretty good to me. Might be about average, but the average car is reliable these days. I personally review over a thousand reported repairs each month, looking for errors. Very few of the repairs people report could have been affected by how the car was driven. Lots of electrical, very little major mechanical, at least not for cars in their first 100k miles. mkaresh
We've updated the results for the Mustang to include owner experiences through September 30, 2009. In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year: 2008: 33 2007: 44 2006: 50 2005: 55 All are better than average. A big thank you, once again, to everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in February and May. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover all model years.
