Barrett Jackson Las Vegas

I went to the Barrett Jackson auction in Las Vegas today, 09-29-18.

I noticed that 2 2006 cars had sold. Both appeared to be nice cars. 06GTH432 sold for 22,000.00. 06GTH371 had polished wheels and a signed air bag cover. It sold for 25,000.00

I don’t know any other info on these cars.

I watched it on TV.  Kinda sad but the reality is these cars are just late model Mustangs.  A 2008 red KR sold for 37K.    Drive the crap out of them.

I don’t think of the modern era Shelby as just a late model Mustang but anybody that thinks these modern era Shelby vehicles are not going to continue to depreciate are deluding themselves.  I don't really worry much about the value of the car because the true value is in driving and enjoying them.

I was there during the auction as well.  #432 only had 11,000 miles and was in decent shape. The only issue I noticed is that had a broken front chin spoiler.

#371 had over 70,000 miles and I am sure I saw this car on ebay a while back for a BIN for $21,500.  I was beat up, tons of rock chis on the front hood and bumper and the rear strips below the trunk had tons of scrapes and scratches.

I couldn't figure out why a 11,000 mile car goes for $22,000 and a 70,000 mile car goes for $25,000.

I know the 25K car has a CS signature on the airbag.  Maybe the owner said heck with the car, I want the signature and paid the extra.  That said, still sad.  I have been considering selling my car but I am not going to give it away.  I think its well documented with tasteful Shelby done mod.
