John Guyer
Please join Team Shelby Great Lakes Region, SAAC-MCR, MCC & MOCSEM for this year’s Motor City edition of the annual National Mustang Day on Sunday, April 15, 2018. Back by popular demand is the traditional meet-up & photo-op in front of Ford World Headquarters. We have extended the meet-up time to a full hour to allow for more socializing & picture taking. Next, and also by popular demand & tradition, we will caravan to Mike Berardi's awesome Mustang Collection to see old & new additions to his herd! Per tradition, lunch will be provided at Mike's by the host clubs, free of charge. New for this year, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the theatrical release of the classic Mustang movie "Bullitt", will caravan to the Emagine Theater in Canton for a private screening of the movie, followed by a film festival style panel discussion about some of the behind the scenes insider info on how the original movie car was brought back out for public viewing this year. There will be a nominal fee for the theater rental, which includes luxury recliner seating with pop & popcorn - all at a discounted deal. Registration deadline is April 2nd, so we can reserve the proper size theater. You must reserve to participate, so we can also order the sufficient lunch quantities. Hope to see as many of you there as possible! 9:00 - 10:00 AM @ Ford WHQ - Meet-up, socializing, & photo-ops 10:00 - 10:30 AM Travel to Mike Berardi's Collection 10:30 - 11:30 AM Tour of Mike's Collection 11:30 AM -12:30 PM Lunch at Berardi's 12:30-1:00 PM Travel to Emagine theater in Canton 1:00-2:00 PM Reserved area parking & socializing, getting pop & popcorn, seats in theater 2:00-4:00 PM Private screening of "Bullitt"4:00-4:30 PM Film festival style panel discussion about the original movie car on how they got it inside Ford once revealed & on the NAIAS display.
