Robert M
I would like to replace the 18" stock rims that came OEM on the 2007 Shelby Gt-500 and need help as to what sizes in the 20" I can go to without having to raise or lower the car and have no rubbing. Front rim what size/and tire size Rear rim what size/and tire size Will I have to have car retuned? Thank you The big factor is...............What 20" wheel do you want to install? The offset/backspacing of the specific 20" wheel is going to be the factor in what width and tire can be selected. For example, if you like the look of the oem SVTPP 20" wheels and want to install them on all four corners of your 2007, those will best fit some tires that the 20" Alcoa's will not, depending upon specific 20" wheel width. Are you wanting a staggard tire set up, narrower front and wider rear? or same size at all four corners for tire rotation concerns? If the overall tire diameter/height is the same as the oem, or very close, the speedo calibration should be the same. If you change to 20", the oem 18" bands for the TPMS will be too small/short for the 20" wheels, they will need to be replaced, or are you going to go with the newer style "stem type" TPMS sensors (I believe used in the 2011-up) in the new 20" wheels? If so, those new sensors will have to be linked to the cars TPMS system. << Not a big deal, but it has to be done so you don't get the annoying dash nag about the TPMS. George Feder
Was wanting to change up the look and doesn't seem like there are a lot of 18" to choose from. Running 4 wheels all the same might not be a bad idea then you could rotate and carry a spare. I assumed that someone like Shelby should be able to tell me if there rim would fit as far as off set and such
