SAI-Steven
If anyone is interested ... thanks given to ITHERTZ66 for the link https://vimeo.com/ Just so there's no confusion, especially for GTH newbies who may come across this thread down the road from now, the above video is not from either Ford or Hertz. Just like the GTH "police chase" video, which also was not from Ford nor Hertz, these videos are certainly cool to watch but should not be considered factory promotional material. clark17357
Here is the link for the police chase video. Always fun to see it again. Jim
06H014
Interesting regarding the police chase video. What was it from then? With the "Ford - bold moves, they happen every day" at the end, I assumed this was a Ford commercial.

Normally this would be something that I couldn't discuss but since it was talked about at one of the Shelby Bash evening events a year or two back I'll briefly touch on it without using names. The "police chase" video was created by an independent advertising agency as a sample of the type of work they were capable of doing. When the video first hit the internet, as you can imagine, the reaction was huge and it quickly became an internet sensation including being linked to from the Team Shelby website. That was until the Ford lawyers got wind of the video. All I'm comfortable saying on that part is the video link and all posts were quickly scrubbed from the Team Shelby website and going forward it was referred to by the words 'what video?' While the video is certainly entertaining to watch but if you were to view the video from a corporation's politically correct point of view you could see why Ford & Shelby had to stay clear of it. Steve Thanks for the clarification and background info. What I also think is interesting, is the kid in the backseat of the police cruiser is Ben Gleib. He now hosts a TV show on The Game Show Network called Idiotest. He must have been early in his acting career when the video was shot. I've tried many times as well to try and read the CSM number on the dash. This video, and the movie Crash and Burn used the Shelby GT-H. My car, #014, was originally a Los Angeles rental and I've often wondered if it was used in either of these. ITHERTZ66
I could have sworn I saw the police chase video originally on television. Is that possible? I remember being so enamored with it.

Yes I saw it once as well .... little birdies have told me a story of a wrecked GT-H and a defense of the marketing stating "rent-a-racer"
