todrick
Hey guys, finally getting around to some more mods on my 09. Tomorrow's project includes BMR tubular K member (1/2' lower mounts), chassis brace and front control arms, Kooks 1 3/4' long tubes with off road x pipe, MGW flat stick shifter, and if time allows, the JLT brake duct hoses and bezels. Already complete recent additions are the one piece aluminum driveshaft from The Driveshaft Shop, BMR upper and lower control arms, and the Moroso oversized coolant/supercharger tank. Future endeavors include rim and tire swap to black Supersnake 20s, Supersnake hood, and 2.9 Whipple with 2.75' pulley with 60 lb injectors. Should be a blast to drive afterwards! msb64
Some really nice mods there, should make quite a difference. You didn't mention it but you probably also have the BMR Radiator Support, you did mention the Chassis brace. Another good option to consider is the Blowfish Shifter Support Bracket that doubles as an NHRA sanctioned driveshaft safety loop. If you are not absolutely dead set on the Whipple, take a good look at VMP's Gen II blower, it can put out some serious hp & torque numbers. Yes, actually already have radiator support as well as A Arm brace installed. Update, Everything installed. Just ordered Whiteline Watts link from Summit. In process of buying tires and rims. Looking at the Mickey Thompson Street Comps in 255/35/20 and 305/35/20, but not sure if rears will rub any. Currently running 295/30s with the car lowered 1.25" all the way around. No issues with those numbers at all, so should I be okay to go a little wider and then the bigger sidewall? Will definitely look into the VMP as well. Have been debating between the Whipple and Kenne Bell.
