How stock? I have a few mod's; Razors, Corsa's, CAI/pulley/tune

Bone stock, or at least visually stock appearing. We actually have a car lined up already, but I hope you bring yours out to show it off and enjoy the event with us!

Hotel rooms in Carlisle have been going fast. Only 10 more rooms are available for Team Shelby (all King rooms, no doubles). The rest of the hotel is booked, so we can't expand our block of rooms at the host hotel.

If you are going, you best consider reserving your rooms now, or you will need to find alternative lodging.

Greetings again,

I've read that it would be smart to have fresh brake pads for my KR prior to hitting the track at Summit Point. And I read that having fresh brake fluid is equally important. Can you make some specific recommendations as to which pads and fluid? I've heard that race only pads are no good for the street so I guess I'd need one more suited to street use as that's my norm.

Thanks in advance!

Both the ATE Superblue or the Motul RBF600 work fantastic over the factory fluid and work just fine with the ABS system and neither one will hurt any of the components . If you do it right you can most likely do it with only one bottle. You do not want to leave unsealed bottles sitting around or even sealed ones for that matter. It's the wet boiling point that you need to be concerned with and both are more than adequate

Three 500ml bottles of Motul RBF600 will completely flush the Mustang's brake lines. Need high-temp DOT4 fluid to withstand the heat generated by track racing. Otherwise, anything less will boil and leave the brakes useless. Also, keep in mind that the front Brembo calipers have 2 bleed valves each and both need to be bled.

Did not know that point, will be replacing brakes and fluid for my next track session.

Thank you for the advice on the fluid; I'd still love to hear about pad recommendations--just stay with stock Shelby GT500 brake pads? Were KR pads different than other GT500 pads?

Lastly, sorry for being ignorant on this: above, one says one can of Motul RBF600 fluid should work and the other says three cans should do it. I'm confused. And in reading reviews of this fluid it was mentioned one would have to change the Motul fluid more often using this fluid over stock. Why!??

Thank you!

Due to public demand.....The Friday evening "Cars Under the Stars" Car Show is now open to all Ford powered vehicles!

There will be eight different show classes, focusing mostly on Shelby's (vintage and new generation), but also including other SVT vehicles, all Mustangs (Boss, Saleen, Roush, RTR, etc.), and tributes/replicas.

If you have registered for the Grand or the Carlisle package, you are automatically reserved a place in the show. If you would like to put a second vehicle in the show, that is an option during on-line registration for the show.

See you there!

Saturday evening program update:

As we get closer to the East Coast Grand Nationals, the pieces of the puzzle are falling into place. All the groups who are involved in making the event work are finalizing their schedules and updating each other....hence this update.

The Carlisle Downtown parade will be departing the staging area at 6:45 pm , and arriving downtown by 7:00 pm. If you participate in the parade and park in the show car area downtown, you are being asked to have your car off the street by 9:30 pm. In order to accommodate that request, and allow folks to join in the parade, our premier showing of "The 24 Hour War" will need to just slightly after 7:00pm.

Our movie premier also includes a 'red carpet' reception and happy hour prior to the start of the movie screening. Based on the logistics of the downtown activities, we have had to adjust our schedule and start the happy hour at 6:00pm.

If you look at the times, you will notice that the events overlap. You will not be able to participate in the parade, and also attend the 'red carpet' reception, however, we have set the schedule such that everyone will be able to join in the screening of "The 24 Hour War", and have their car off of the show car parking areas by 9:30pm.

So the choice is yours! Either enjoy the parade and the downtown festivities, or join us for drinks and hors d'oeuvres at the theater prior to the movie. Whichever option you choose, you won't be disappointed, and then we will all be come together to watch the film and root for our favorite team (I don't want to spoil the end for anyone, but I think we all know who wins!).

Is there a schedule out yet for the track times on Thursday (so we can watch), when and where folks are meeting for the poker run first thing on Friday morning, etc.? Also, I haven't received my GateNGo credentials from Carlisle Events yet, so will I have trouble participating in the grand entrance to the fairgrounds on Friday? I don't want to miss anything!

My gate and go pass hasn't arrived yet either. It usually arrives about a week before.

A survival guide will be going out soon to everyone who has signed up.

You should consider tracking your car..it is awesome

There will be a car show at the track as well.

Hello again,

To record the track experience as some have, please tell me what you recommend; Go-Pro or equivalent; I-phone , etc.

I've heard battery can go quick filming with I-phone unless plugged in and then I've got a cord protruding near my shifter.

What mount too please. Thanks very much!

Thank you!! And the app that shows the map of the track and your progress? How do you obtain that? Looks like so much fun!

Apple App Store TrackAddict for recording and Race Render for editing the videos.

Use the TrackAddict on you iPhone and it automatically records your MPH, position on the track and G-force.
