Upgrades to brakes, exhaust, tires, suspension, blower, no super snake hood. 3.How many of these cars were sent back to Shelby for the 40th anniversary package and 600hp upgrade? 4.How may blue Convertibles have these two packages? It's a 2007 Shelby Mustang GT500 that was sold new at a Ford dealer and the owner opted to send the car to Shelby in Vegas or (Tasca) possibly...and have it modded into a 40th Anniversay GT500. You could add all the options including the SS hood but it will always be a 40th. There were a few 40ths that came from Shelby with added power options like a bigger supercharger. This new coil over systems allows for adjustability for both straight line and road course tracks. The new spring/shock combination lowers the front a maximum of 0.8-inch and the rear 1.6-inches for a very aggressive appearance and lower center of gravity. In addition bigger anti-way bars are included for reduced body roll. The result is flat precise cornering without a harsh ride. You should check it out. A 2007 could become a SuperSnake. Owners of 2007 GT500 had the option to send their cars to Shelby for the 40th package or the SS package. However a car can not be both a 40th and a SS. It is possible to have a 40th with all the performance upgrades that an SS has but that does not make it an SS. If that was the case my KR would be a Shelby 1000 by now. Ha ha ? The 40th is an awesome car and much rarer than an SS. So when people ask about your car you can explain with pride what it is......... Visit and read the 40th section to learn more about your car. First is the year (07) then the type (XL) then the number of the car (0456) 07XL0456 = 40th 07SS0456 = SS 08SGT0456 = Shelby GT 09KR0456 = King of the Road. And so on........... 39Mustang Posted October 27, 2016 Report Share Posted October 27, 2016 I don't even need to see the build stats of how many in what colors and so on cause in my opinion of all the late model Shelby's built the 2007 40th Annv. Conv. is going to be one of the most valuable. Why? Conv.'s are King when it comes to value and not that many 40th Annv. Conv.'s were built. This 2007 40th Annv. Conv. package is also one of the best looking Mustangs ever. The 69 GT500 Conv. might be the sexist Mustang, Muscle Car, Pony Car, Sports Car ever built and the 2007 40th Annv. Conv. is real close. I do not recommend buying a late model Shelby 2007 to present for future value because one these are way more fun to drive, you have no clue what 15-20 years might bring, and mainly because no late model Shelby will ever be the value of the 65-70's because they will always be older and less of them built Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
