supersnake junkie
I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me the total number of Supersnake builds on the new 2016 Mustang GT that have been built by SA and authorized mod shops since the 2016 car came out and SA introduced the SS package for the GT? It would be very interesting to get a feel for the demand!!!!!
mhr1961
SAI typically does not release build numbers until the end of a production run or close out of a build program.

That would be too bad if that was the case,I said a while ago that the new GT would be far more reaching for SA and the potential for it opening up the doors for so many more people to get an upgrade for their cars from Shelby including the automatic owners as well! It would be very interesting to get a feel for the demand!!!!! Considering the 2016's are still on the Lots, I would think they are still being built. If they provide you Build Numbers as of today, then a month later, the Build Numbers will be different. Yea they could provide projection numbers, but back when they introduce the 2011 GT350, they were supposed to build 350 of them in the 1st year, but only like 147 were built. Also, got to look at this too. Even though a 2007 GT500 is 9 years old now, i believe they are still building 2007 Super Snakes

It would be very interesting to get a feel for the demand!!!!! As mentioned by others, build numbers are not released until the program closes and the last ordered car is built. Although "to date" build numbers might be interesting they really don't serve much purpose other than to muddy the waters when that to date number becomes outdated the next day or when the next car is built. Now what we can say is that production is capped at 300 Super Snakes per model year so when you compare that Ford probably builds 30,000+ Mustang GT's each year, a 2016 Super Snake immediately becomes more desirable to collectors & enthusiasts.
