comet78
Hey guys, I'm having Whipple installed on 07 SGT and the finished install has the crossover fuel hose that connects the fuel rails together being routed directly over the top of my SC and it doesn't look good to me, is this the normal recommended way it should be installed? Are there any other options to reroute this hose without hurting performance? I would like you guys to post pics showing how your crossover fuel hose was routed on your Whipple installs, specifically looking for installs done through Shelby, thanks in advance for any help! comet78
How's this? 0812162022_HDR-1.jpg Thanks for the pic. I believe they are trying to avoid running underneath due to the heat which may take away from performance. Anybody else have a pic from a Shelby Whipple install? Doug_GT350
for the record, I have never seen one over the top of the blower on a Whipple install.
comet78
So the fuel line over the top is Whipples design so I will leave it that way. I saw someone with a Whipple on their KR on here and the fuel line is over the top as well. If the line is routed under the blower with the excessive heat it could cause premature line failure. Larry T
KR is a 5.4 and not a 4.6 so there is no cross over on top but here is the installation manual, on mine i have Fore Innovations fuel rails with teflon with stainless braided line http://performanceparts.ford.com/download/instructionsheets/fordinstshtm-6066-05-10_gt.pdf and more pictures but they are not of my car http://www.nichepi.com/photos/Gaugeinstall/Boostgauge1.jpg http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/attachments/2005-2010-mustang-talk/82943d1257722980-whipple-ho-tillman-speed-2006-mustang-gt-img_2118.jpg

Doug_GT350
Good catch ... I have never seen that. I did see that and thought oh well who am I to argue.... and I thought the original poster also found it somewhere.... So the fuel line over the top is Whipples design so I will leave it that way. Doug_GT350
Good catch ... I have never seen that. next question will be.... does it hit the underside of the hood or the insulation?
MyBlueHeaven
Good catch ... I have never seen that. On the Kenne Bell it routes around the backside of the supercharger, is there something preventing it from being installed the same way on the whipple?
