Didn't they go for about $350/set? Ebay auctions are going for $400 and up like you said. Not a good deal... The caps (supply) was readily available when Shelby had them as a current stocking item, now they are obsolete, and a Shelby owner who wants that unique "Shelby" look under their hood is going to have to step up, now that they are no longer available.......... I agree with you that "more than original cost" is hard to swallow.............but look at it this way, "if" you step up now, use them and enjoy the look of them every time you open your hood and keep them in pristine condition, when it comes time to sell your car, remove them (back to stock). You will be the one who has enjoyed them and most likely will recoup a good amount (most) of your money to another owner who "just has to have a set of those Rare/Unique caps". They will only get harder to find, especially new, and the value/cost to a future Shelby owner will only go up. $600 for a full set of new is hard to swallow, I recently saw a new set of Super Snake caps listed for $1600..............OUCH!! >>>>>Edit............I just clicked on your eBay link..................My comments above are about the Shelby Performance Parts GT500 Billet Caps that were available from Shelby and are now obsolete. Were the caps in your eBay link original Shelby caps??? or aftermarket??? I don't remember Shelby selling caps like that??? Maybe I missed them? The previous SPP caps were pretty cool, the striped caps are ok, but me personally, I like the old/original SPP caps better.............
