Some pricing

Recommended Posts

If you go to post #95 on here http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.p...3483&page=5 this guy got a list of items and prices from somewhere. $1800 for the hoods, louvers and hood pins. Wow that's steep. Amy please tell me these prices aren't final. $1800 for a fiberglass hood is way too high. I was really excited about that hood, but at that price it's just unreasonable.

Not to beat a dead horse but this is a quote from the man himself.

We are the cash cow :angry2:

Why are you building the Shelby GT500KR [King of the Road], and why now?

You know, these things are really helping the dealers. We're building a thousand of them, all with 540 horsepower. The dealers can sell them for over list. They can make lots of money. That makes for happy dealers.

2 things:

1) You ARE beating a dead horse. In fact you are beating it so much that it is now dog food :hysterical: You have brought this quote up in other places as well;

2) This quote is irrelevant to the discussion as Shelby does not profit from dealer mark-up. He benefits from the deal that he brokered between Shelby American and Ford Motor Company. The profits realized on the KR (from SAI) are miniscule in relation to the profits that the Ford dealers will realize from the ridiculous ADM's they will be tacking on to this car. :drop:

It would be beneficial if you did not distort the truth to fit your multiple postings of the same quote. Kind of like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Try to keep on topic, and keep it relevant. Topic is the rumor that the hood, pins, and vent is $1800. Thanks!

You are perfectly correct. Enough said.

Don't believe it's a rumor.

From the link provided by 2006GT500:

SS_Flyer_2.jpg

I noticed the Alcoa rims only say 20"X ?????? The catalog has 20"X10" and 20"X9" IF 9" is the widest for 20" because of clearance and 18" can go 9.5 what about 19"?? Front tires are already different size so why not try 19"X9.5" or 19"X10" would one of those fit??

The other side of the flyer says 20x9 front and 20x10 rear.
