Al & Cyndi Haas
Just purchased a 2008 white GT500 convert. The car is perfect with only 1500 miles on it! It is a stripe delete car. Is there anyone in the Pacific Northwest that does stripes and installs them?

BLOWN
call your ford dealer they have a good auto body dept. I took mine in to our ford dealer and they painted on my stripes, Love them no worries about the material doing crazy stuff. Had them on for over 8 years. Had them done on my grabber orange mustang GT Vert. I am in the Tri Cities. Good luck, also when my Stripes on my Grabber Orange Shelby/ GT go bad they will be painting on the stripes. SoCalSGT
If you're going to keep it, by all means get them painted on. It will cost you some money up front, but you'll never have to worry about them again. I had perfect stripes on my SGT but was in the process of finding a pint shop when I got rid of it...for my current Shelby. Paint is the only way to go. Having said that, I've seen a lot of stripe delete cars that were very nice looking....just sayin'.

SnakeEater
Hi 2fords, In 2008 there were 330 Performance White converts built, but only 19 were "stripe delete" ...something to think about before adding stripes!
Al & Cyndi Haas
Ok, so I'm new to this GT500 thing.I have the window sticker but...it shows Ebony tape stripe, which it has on the sides only.Does that make it officially a stripe delete car? Can I get an actual build sheet from Ford still on the car? Thanks!
SnakeEater
If I 'm correct, no 2007 GT500 converts had stripes over the hood and trunk ...only on the rocker panels, which read "GT500" and a couple stripes down the side. The 2007 "stripe delete" option meant there were no "GT500 and stripes" down the sides. I think 2008 GT500 converts were the same...if so, your convert with the Ebony "GT500 and side stripes" is not a "stripe delete".
