ShelbyEra08
I got my letter about the recall, but never got the letter yet about the final fix being available. I got something about a temporally fix available
05mustangman
Same here. Got a recall letter last year but no fix. My local Ford dealers seem to know nothing about it even.
RmGardner
I got my oil changed at my local Ford dealer about 2 weeks ago and asked them about the air bag recall because I keep getting letters saying to check with my dealer. They told me that they are setting on Mustang trades that they can't sell because they have to fix the air bags first and they can't get parts. I see the recall keeps getting bigger and bigger (35,000,000) so us older guys may die before we get the air bags fixed
Mustangcollector
...so us older guys may die before we get the air bags fixed I just hope it's not the airbag that takes us to the garage in the sky.
Donald Hoening
I received the initial notification letter a long time ago. Received a letter a week ago that said parts were now available and to contact the dealer. I still need to do that.

Don Johnston
The supply availability varies by dealer so check before drive in even if you have an appointment. My concern is that the installers do not mess up the CS dash signature.

twobjshelbys
Supposedly parts are available by region, humid areas first, desert southwest later. Still no ETA here.
skiph
Yup. Someone's making a LOT of fixed air-bag deployment systems. Sure that takes some time. Got my letter in the mail June of 2015 and just got my letter, and a phone call, from the dealer that the part was in, a month ago. All done. Took a little over an hour to do after they pulled the car into the bay to start work.

msb64
Received my 1st recall letter, which was sent on July 23, 2015. The parts available letter was sent out on June 20, 2016. Upon receiving it, I called them within a few days to request an install date. I received a return call/message that I needed to act within a month or the dealer was required to either return the part to Ford or offer it to someone else waiting. Dropped by the dealer Saturday (3rd) and scheduled to have the car go in this July 6. Will be nice to have that over with, not a fan of taking mine in for servicing, prefer to do that myself. msb64
First dealer I contacted insisted on having the car all day, told them that wasn't going to happen and then they gave me a bunch of excuses and attitude. Contacted another dealer and they said they would get the air bag in and that I could wait for the car to be done. They said they found the installs took around 1.5 - 2 hours, so they are playing a different type of game but at least it is better than the first place. The fact that other dealerships are doing the installs in less than 30 minutes didn't make a difference to either place, they know best. Would be nice if Ford kept a closer eye on what games the dealerships are playing, enough to make me not want to deal with any of them for anything
ShelbyKR664
I am waiting for mine as well. At first they said I could only drop it off. After I described my car, they gave me a "wait for" appointment which was around lunch time. I don't want the guys making a Subway run in my car! Bill Hamilton
I've recieved three different recall letters. The last said mine woud be in the fourth quarter of 2016. I guess the newer the model, the longer you'll wait. Mine's a 2014.

I'm not sure what would have changed in 2013-14 unless they are just assuming that the newer cars have been exposed to less moisture so they figure they have more time to get to those cars. In another thread, or perhaps this thread, I posted where they Feds have given auto manufactures until 12-31-2019 to complete this recall campaign.
